The thunderbird and the whale
Another Native American legend tells of a thunderbird, a supernatural and benevolent being, diving into the ocean to seize a terrible whale that deprived the Quileute tribe of precious resources.
During this merciless struggle, powerful waves are generated, and many people are killed.
The thunderbird eventually manages to grab the whale and throws it onto the mainland, causing a powerful earthquake.
During the 1980s, geologists discovered that a powerful earthquake struck the Pacific Northwest in the 17th century, causing a terrible tsunami that reached Japan and the American coasts where the tribe lived.
The thunderbird is said to have been inspired by the Aiornis, a giant raptor (5 meters wingspan) that lived in North America in the Pliocene.

Fall back into childhood
An elderly lady walks past the showcase and stares at it for a while before coming in and coming to see me.
She said to me: "Your showcase is very pretty" with a warm smile.
I thank her timidly. She then adds:
"It must please children of all ages, because it made me fall back into childhood," she adds, delighted.
"Thank you very much Madam," I told her, pleased with her compliment. To which she replied: "No, thank you".
We chat a little more, then she ends up leaving a dreamy and nostalgic smile on her lips.

Today we're going to talk about Not Even Afraid!
The hour is serious in the sad kingdom of the good king Dagobert.
A horde of frightening monsters terrorizes the population. T
he king immediately summons his knights and organizes a tournament: the heroes who win the battles will be sent to face witches, gargoyles and other giants.
Very few will emerge victorious from these clashes. But in case of victory, they will find in the treasure of monsters, weapons and magical armor.
They will be very useful for them to finally defeat the terrible dragon! The battle adapted to cooperative play. If the players don't cooperate, watch out for the monsters!
They will undoubtedly have the last word! Here we all win together or we all lose together.
The knights have only one goal: to save the kingdom.
Yet only one of them will know the glory of defeating the dragon ...
An adaptation of the famous battle game that will be of interest to the whole family, while learning about cooperation, risk management and the use of simple additions.
With its nice graphics and its world of knights, "Not Even Afraid" is an excellent title to play cooperatively with the family from 5/6 years old.

The myth of Atlantis
The myth of Atlantis is probably one of the most famous in the history of mankind.
Described for the first time by the Greek philosopher Plato, it tells the story of a prosperous and conquering civilization living on the island of Atlantis, which ends up engulfed by the waves in a cataclysm brought on by Zeus.
According to many archaeologists, this legend actually describes the fall of the Minoan Empire.
Around 3,650 years ago, a powerful volcanic eruption rocked the island of Santorini, then called Thera.
The magma chamber emptied so quickly that the center of the island literally collapsed, triggering a tsunami that struck the ridge and engulfed much of Thera underwater.
This incident obviously marked the abrupt end of the Minoan Empire.

Damn, bad luck!
It seems that the first year of the store, I was chasing bad luck ...
After discovering that I was closing for good two months after opening, bad luck still followed me ...
Damn, then! ^^
According to another shopkeeper my local would lead bad luck to all those who would have worked there and would have ended up:
-lose their business
-separate from their spouse
- bring them bad luck.
It is clear that after 3 and a half years of occupation, I have not reported any such facts ...
I have passed the fateful moment of one year of bad luck of the premises it seems ^^
Phew! Here I am reassured ^^
Whatever, not necessarily ...
Then came the bad luck of the newspaper ...
But what is it, then ?
This is a lady who sees a newspaper article on the store and tells me this:
"I don’t want to scare you, but I had a business and when I got into the newspaper it went down shortly after."
I just said "Well look, we'll see".
After several successive articles in the press, it seems that I am not touched by the bad luck of the newspaper either… ^^

The guest star
Around the year 1006, astronomers around the world spotted a "guest star" in the sky.
In the Kitab al-Shifa (Book of Healing), the Persian scholar Ibn Sina specifies that the star was visible for months and constantly changed color, before disappearing in a shower of sparks.
If scientists have long thought that the star in question was a comet, it was actually a supernova.
The latter occurred 7,200 years ago, but its radiation did not reach Earth until the beginning of the first millennium.
The color changes precisely described by Sina are due to the merger of two white dwarfs.
This is obviously the first historical testimony of such a phenomenon.

Everything becomes clearer
Throughout the preparation for the creation of the store, there were ups and downs ...
The support of the CCI was decisive in my business creation project and I cannot thank them enough for that.
During a CCI workshop for business creation support and advice, we had to present our project in two minutes flat.
I presented the creation of the board game store as a project to bring people together.
I saw the game animations as a moment of initiation and sharing of playful moments.
And as a convenience store, useful services to take over from certain services that were to come to an end.
Claire, the CCI advisor, congratulated my project and welcomed my promises of pre-opening.
I can say with pride that I stuck to my goals and promises of four years ago.
The female success trophy came to congratulate my flexibility during the crisis with the agility trophy and special congratulations from the members of the jury for my nominations in the agility, digital, originality and benevolence categories.
The smile that touched me the most that day during my acceptance speech was that of Claire from the CCI and her adorable phrase "promises kept"

Today we're going to talk about Jack and the Beanstalk!
History, do you know it?
The story therefore tells us about Jack who, on a market day, exchanges his cow for so-called magic beans.
These beans would grow up to the sky and make it possible to ascend into the heavens.
In fact, Jack plants them and climbs his beans up to the clouds! It was there that he came across a castle, the home of a sinister giant eater of fresh flesh ...
Risking his life, Jack manages to steal multiple riches from the giant! Until the day when the giant surprises him and sets out in pursuit ...
Jack has just enough time to descend along the bean before it is cut and once again blocks the giant creature in his sinister castle.
Throughout the game we will therefore grow the magic bean to try to recover as many treasures as possible. This bean is in fact a stack of dice that must not be dropped.
If by any chance someone arrives at the end of the bean to the giant's castle, bonus treasures will be awarded to them. At the start of the round, each player chooses one of the 7 cards he has in his hand.
This card imposes a number of dice on him that he will have to roll and place on the bean. It also has a value which will determine the order of play: the player who chooses the card with the lowest value begins and so on.
When it's my turn, I roll the number of dice corresponding to my card. These dice appear with symbols that must be resolved before placing the dice on the bean.
There are four symbols: the dice symbol which allows me (or not, it's up to you) to roll an additional dice.
The trunk symbol which obliges me to place a trunk in the bean at the same time as the die.
The treasure symbol that allows me to put a small purse of my color between the dice that I place in the bean. If the bean is still in balance at the end of my stroke, then I will gain treasures.
And finally, the giant eye symbol: having one in your throw is of no consequence.
From two, I wake up the giant and lose all the effects of my other dice. If a player drops the magic bean while placing his dice, he wins treasures for players who have placed purses in the bean.
And obviously does not win anything himself ... On the other hand, if a player must put a trunk and there is none left, or if a player has just placed the last available die, he can now seize the castle and try to place it in his turn. ..
If he holds, then he gains treasures. The bean is then dismantled and we restart from zero.

Sri Lanka's Ape-Men Army
In Ramayana, a Sanskrit Indian epic, Sita, the wife of the god Rama, is kidnapped and held on the island of Lanka, which represents the kingdom of demons.
Accompanied by an army of ape-men, his brother Lakshmana built a floating bridge (the famous Rama Bridge) between India and the island of Lanka, and succeeded in defeating Ravana, the demon king.

Hello everyone ! Today we're going to talk about Edenia!
All sheep look bad at you. You've bleatly grazed the last clump of grass left on Arridis, your home planet.
Already, the stomachs are rumbling under the layers of wool and all Arridian sheep are aware of it, it is transhumance or death! Yes, but where?
Symbolizing the discovery of the galaxy, the game consists of an empty board (with the exception of the outlines and the starting and ending planets) where you will have to place new tiles each time the wanderings of your sheep will lead them to the edge of known space.
On each game turn, a player chooses the sheep (among the 2 that belong to him) that he will move by following the spatial trajectories drawn on the tiles. He can move the sheep as much as he wants, and stop it when he wants too, but however:
- He cannot "cross" another sheep.
- He can only discover one new quadrant during his journey. To do this, when the sheep's path ends in an unexplored space, the player draws a new quadrant and places it on the board. He can then continue the journey.
- He can choose to stop or not on a small planet. However, he must stop on a large planet if his path leads him there, and he must stop when he arrives on Edenia.
When a player arrives on Edenia, he takes a victory point token, the largest available. When a player stops on a large planet, he can claim authority by placing a flag. This flag earns him victory points.
But this victory is not definitively acquired, because another player can claim the planet after him and replace the flag.
It's up to you to calculate your movements to be the last to claim.
In short, their odyssey will not be lacking in twists and turns.
The game ends as soon as a player leads their last sheep to Edenia.
The winner is the one who has accumulated the most victory points.

Crater Lake and the Battle of the Gods
The Native American Klamath tribe believed that Crater Lake in Oregon was once a towering mountain called Mazama, on which Llao, the deity ruling the underworld, lived.
Engaged in an epic battle with Skell, the sky god who reigned over nearby Mount Shasta, Llao rained fire on the lands of the region, but lost the fight.
Skell then caused Mount Mazama to collapse in order to imprison him forever, and sealed his prison by covering it with a lake of bluish reflections.
This myth actually describes a volcanic eruption that occurred 7,700 years ago, almost forty times more powerful than the terrible cataclysm of Mount Saint Helens in May 1980 according to geologists.
A huge pocket of magma broke the earth's crust, leaving behind a huge crater that gradually filled with rainwater: the famous lake that legend spoke of.

In Vaison we don't like board games ...
Before opening the store four years ago, I was advised to do a "define your business plan" workshop.
I do like all the other candidates for a business opening, and I tell about my plan to open a store selling board games in Vaison.
The business advisor tells me that my project is doomed to failure and that board games cannot work in Vaison and its surroundings ...
She even adds that the daughter of a friend of hers tried to get a license and a room back in Vaison, but was refused.
It chilled me a bit at the time ...
But I struggled to open the store and start this wonderful adventure which continues for another 3 and a half years later thanks to you ;)
Her friend's daughter ended up finding a place in Vaison and I wish her to continue working in spite of everything ...
If you believe in your project, try ... It is better to have remorse than regret. :)
If I had let myself be demoralized and given up by then, we would not have shared those beautiful playful years ...
So if you follow me again and again in the fun adventure, I intend to accompany you there for a while;)

Today we’re gonna talk about Talisman, legendary tales !
Many centuries ago, legendary smiths forged the Crown of Command, a magical artefact of immense power. Whoever wears the Crown of Command will hold power over all of the land.
Decades ago, a powerful wizard sealed the Crown of Command behind the Portal of Power to prevent evil forces from obtaining it. Only those who possess one of the legendary Talismans may pass through this Portal to reach the Crown.
Over the years, five of the Talismans have disappeared.
Enemy forces now seek to find them in order to seize the Crown of Command for themselves. Brave heroes that you are, you have banded together to go on a quest to retrieve all five Talismans and thereby stop the evil power behind these enemy forces from ruling the world.
This task won't be easy as finding each Talisman is an epic adventure in itself.
However, if you work together using everyone's abilities and helping one another when you can, you will surely succeed.
In Talisman - Legendary Tales, the players must work together as an adventure party to recover the five legendary Talismans that have been lost.
During each adventure, the party endeavors to recover one of the lost Talismans. The adventures must be played in order. You may repeat adventures, and you may play one or more adventures in a game session.
Over the course of this story, you will travel across a wondrous land and have exciting adventures in which you must make important decisions and defend yourself against cruel enemies.
As an adventure party, you succeed in each adventure once you have completed the final task and have recovered the Talisman.
Be careful: You have only a limited amount of time!

What is “The Thousand and One Nights”?
Today we know The Thousand and One Nights as a set that contains 262 tales.
In fact, this collection, assembled by an unknown Egyptian sheikh around 1760, contains both old tales that circulated in his time and tales from the Thousand and One Nights themselves.
We know the principle of the chain of the latter:
Sultan Schahryar, betrayed by his wife, decides never to marry again.Quite quickly his vizier no longer finds a woman living during one night of the favors of the Sultan and who accepts to be executed in the morning.
A daughter of the vizier, Scheherazade, the eldest, decides to devote herself to helping her father out of trouble and also to save all the women.
She is going to tell the Sultan a tale that will not be finished at dawn, and the Sultan, curious to know the rest, will spare her for 1,000 nights.
In the meantime, three children were born, and the Sultan, who appreciated the knowledge and the nobility of Scheherazade, the wife after coming back from his prejudices against women.

In case of failure, checkmate!
It is now 30 years ago that I learned one of the best lessons in life thanks to my grandfather…
While he was teaching me to play chess, I did not understand why all the strategies I tried did not succeed.
I got more and more discouraged with each loss, but already at 4 years old, I was determined to understand what had gone wrong with my strategy to evolve it and try to win.
With a lot of patience and kindness, my grandfather explained to me why I was losing with each new strategy.
As time went by, I progressed and ended up beating him when I was 5 years old.
I will never forget what he said to me then that day:
“For every problem there is a reasonable solution. It isn’t always easy to find, but with determination one always ends up achieving a resolution."
This wise phrase from my grandfather still follows me today ...
Of course, I failed many times, but I did not stay on failures.
I realized that my mistakes taught me a lot more than if I had done everything before.
There are no failures for those who know how to learn, but tries leading to a goal ...

But at the top of the nearby mountain, a dragon has taken up residence in the abandoned castle ...

In this asymmetrical game, one player is the Dragon who tries to scare the Heroes ...

Dwar7s Fall is a game about collecting gems in order to exchange them for food.
In the meantime, you will also have to build your dwarf kingdom and kill monsters.
In this game you have several ways to win by choosing your actions carefully.
The players take turns performing their actions.
Each turn, you can perform 3 actions (place a kingdom tile or place a dwarf in a tile or move a dwarf one tile).
Each tile has a prerequisite of how many dwarves of a player are needed to perform one type of action.
For example: Emerald mines always have three slots, but you will only need two dwarves to pick up an emerald.
Once this task is completed (collect an emerald), your two dwarves will return to your pool.
When a player completes three goals (both open and secret goals count), the final phase begins.
The players who had not taken this turn take their last turn and, then, the game ends.
Points are calculated and the game with the most points wins.

As they rush into danger to extract the precious crystals, you have no choice but to join the fray ...
Age of Towers sees you and your opponents fighting to defend your cities against the oncoming wave of monsters by building defenses, placing traps and channeling these beasts to your opponents' cities!
In more detail, each turn has three phases: night, dawn and day.
During the night, the event card is applied and the monsters progress in your path (each type having a different movement value). Two other monsters (or your boss) appear in your path.
At dawn, the towers can attack a monster of a particular type on one of the four adjacent squares, or the boss.
During the day, each player can choose one action among the four available, then they can take an additional action, whether it is the same or different.
Each type of monster has a movement value (1-3 spaces) and perhaps a special ability; all monsters in the base box have 2 hit points.
The boss, who is not a monster, is more difficult to kill because he has 10 life points; when a player successfully kills it, the game ends.
Whenever a monster or boss leaves your path to reach your city, you lose a number of city guards equal to their movement value.
After the game ends, each player adds their victory points from three sources: number of city guards remaining, amount of damage dealt to your boss, and achievements (which are drawn at random at the start of the game).

Today we are going to talk about Minute Realms!
Minute Realms is played over 8 rounds.
Each turn begins by dealing a card to each player, face up, plus two, always visible, in the middle of the table, accessible to all, then each in turn, chooses an available card and places it in their Kingdom.
We can choose the card that has been allocated to us, in this case we build it.
We can also choose a middle card or one allocated to another player.
In both cases, we give our card instead.
We must also perform all the commercial actions related to the card you take.
These actions are:
- receive one or more coins (from the reserve)
- pay one or more coins (either to the player from whom the card was taken, or to the reserve if you took it from the middle)
- reveal an Invaders token. For construction (addition to your Kingdom), you can pay the indicated cost and add the building to your Kingdom.
You can also erect a defensive tower.
In this case, we turn the card over and place it in their Kingdom.
A turn immediately earns us 2 coins, in addition to increasing the defense of our Kingdom.
Invasions At the end of the 4th and 8th turns, each Kingdom must resist the 'invasion.
To do this, you simply have to count the emblems of the Kingdom and compare it to the value of the Invader tokens revealed.
The consequence of a bad expenditure is the loss of a building: the card is turned over (thus increasing the defense of the Kingdom)
