2 words game Phantom Ink

2 words game Phantom Ink

On 09/01/2026

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Phantom Ink!

Recognized mediums, take up the challenge. 4 to 8 players, ages 10 and up, for 15 minutes, to guess the secret object using clues from the mysterious spirits!

In Phantom Ink, there are two teams, each composed of a spirit and one or more mediums. The mediums must guess a secret object that both spirits know. Each spirit wants their medium(s) to find the secret object first.

The mediums on each team take turns asking their spirit a secret question in order to get an answer (a clue) about the secret object. The spirit slowly writes the clue, letter by letter, until interrupted by their team, who doesn't want to reveal their clue to their opponents.

The players are divided into two teams: Moon and Sun. Each team's spirit is chosen, and the other members are mediums. The mediums then draw seven question cards and look at them discreetly. The spirits from both teams choose a secret object word together and can use the numbers to discuss their choice.

The mediums on the same team share their hand of cards, brainstorm together, and can pass secret notes. The teams take turns, but the Sun team goes first. During a team's turn, the writing pad is oriented so that it faces that team. The medium on that team then decides whether to ask a question or guess the secret object, and then follows these steps:

On their turn, the Medium can connect with the spirit to obtain clues that will allow them to learn more about the secret object they need to find. The Medium chooses two question cards from the seven in their hand and gives them to their team's spirit.

The spirit discreetly consults them, chooses one to answer, returns it to the medium, who keeps it face down and discards the other question card face up.

On the writing pad, in the team's first available space, the spirit begins slowly writing a Clue, letter by letter. The clue must answer the chosen question about the secret object. The spirits must read the letters aloud as they write.

When the Medium thinks they have found the clue their spirit is writing, they say "Silencio." The spirit then immediately stops writing (if they were writing a letter, they finish it, then stop). The medium then places the question card they just played face down in front of them. They can consult it at any time during the game. The medium draws two new Question cards to once again have seven cards in their hand.

On their turn, and if they think they have guessed the secret object, the medium can decide to offer an answer. The medium writes the first letter of their guess in the first available space on their team's writing pad and says it aloud. If the letter is correct, their team's spirit knocks on the table.

The Medium adds the next letter, saying it aloud. Both players repeat these steps until a letter is wrong, or the guess is complete (when the last letter of the guess is written, the Medium adds a dot to signal to the spirit that they are finished).

If the letter is wrong, the spirit places their finger on their lips and crosses out the incorrect letter. The medium can no longer write. The round ends, and it's the other team's turn. There is no penalty for an incorrect guess, except that the team loses a turn when they could have obtained a clue.

When your team begins a turn at a writing pad with an eye icon, your team's spirit medium can ask to see the next letter of any Clue that was started on the writing pad, including a clue from the opposing team. The spirit who wrote the Clue then adds the next letter (and also scores a point if it's the last letter). Your team then continues their turn normally (either by asking a question or by attempting to guess the secret object). When the spirit medium has correctly written their guess in full and each letter has been validated by the spirit, the team has guessed the secret object and wins the game!

Hello everyone!

The Monte-Cristo account is inspired by real facts.

"The Count of Monte-Cristo" is inspired by a shoemaker who took revenge for his denunciators after years spent in prison. Published in 1844, this is one of the best known novels of Alexandre Dumas. The story of Edmond Dantès, a young sailor unfairly imprisoned at the Château d'If near Marseille. After escaping, he discovered a treasure on the island of Monte-Cristo and turns into a noble count to take revenge on those who betrayed him.

To write her stories, Dumas usually draw inspiration from real facts. For Monte-Cristo, he relies on police archives written by Jacques Peuchet. We find the story of François Picaud, shoemaker in Nîmes.

In 1807, François Picaud wished to marry a rich young woman, as Edmond Dantès must marry Mercédès. A local merchant tells the police that he suspects Picaud to be an agent from England. This is not the case, but François Picaud will still be locked seven years in a fortress. At his release, in 1814, he changed his name for that of Joseph Lucher, disguised himself as religious and, as with Dumas, will take revenge on one of those who ruined his life.

A love intrigue, a story of betrayal, adventure and a thirst for revenge: we find the central elements of the Count of Monte-Cristo

But in reality, the story of François Picot is also fictionée, as was much done at the time. However, it is itself inspired by a true story, that of a Marseille convict.

"Gaspard-Étienne Pastorel, who was condemned to galleys, apparently, is someone who borrowed several identities, as in the history of Picaud and as in the history of" Monte-Cristo "and of which apparently we would find a trace in the archives of the Lyon police prefecture.

JJV's Offs

JJV's Offs

On 04/01/2026

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "Offs du JJV"!

“The adventurous heart is laughing at these illusions. He knows of sure science that the risk, the mystery, the unexpected, the irrational constitute the true order of life, the real reason. "

You cannot plan your life a hundred percent, because life always has surprises in store for us. This is what makes her always more astonishing. If everything was flat and repetitive, life would lack this I don't know what mystery that it offers us on a daily basis.

When you are keen to marvel and try to live life in an unconventional way, you discover unsuspected treasures. Of course we also meet resistance from people who love their daily train.

It’s very good to love to have your own pace and want lifestyle. This is not a reason to try to demotivate those who want to do more than living a daily copied-pacored.

The story is not necessarily endless and if everyone lived like other people, nothing will have ever evolved. We cannot always do the same thing and wait for different results. I am not afraid of change because it always brings new ideas and possibilities of evolution.

If I had stayed in classical animation, I would never have met its different people from different horizons, ages and environments as I currently do with my store and my external animations.

If I hadn't dared to launch and continue the store while listening to bad languages, I would never have lived all these beautiful life experiences with you. I would have done well with unlikely or even vicious people.

You can't do without so I learned to do with it. As if it was normal to leave an open door when it is hot and to lose the freshness of a shop just because it is funny ... or even to leave its used hygienic towel in a store gate because it is funny, you understand.

I'm not even talking about those people who find it normal to tell you that there is never anyone in your store and that you would better close permanently ... We know by whom they are sent these, huh! ;) Not only should you do with these unpleasant people and who have ever asked for their opinions but you can be sure that they will give it to you anyway ... ^^ But we will do with it since we cannot do without ...;)

In the end, I appreciate living my life as I plan and to be surprised because she has to bring me to enrich my experience throughout the way. :)

Good day and good game;)

2 words game Magic Dwarf cards

2 words game Magic Dwarf cards

On 02/01/2026

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Magic Dwarf cards!

Follow the crazy fires, from 1 to 6 players and from 5 years for 15 minutes, to recover all the precious stones!

In the magic dwarf, bring all the apprentices through the magic forest to the Jasper mine before the witches reached it. To do this, choose your cards judiciously and move apprentices faster than witches. Only mutual aid and cooperation will allow you to all win this magic race together!

Each turn, move the pawn corresponding to the chosen card. Make sure that all apprentices reach Jasper's mine before one of the two witches succeeded.

Move apprentices and witches through the forest.

Among you, the person who saw a gnome last begins, then the part continues in the direction of the needles of a watch.

In turn, reveal a forest card of your choice and place it next to the forest card revealed at the start of the game. Each turn, you therefore have the choice between 2 visible face cards.

Use one of these cards to move a pawn along the way.

Choose together the best card for this turn.

The card indicates whether you should move an apprentice or a witch. It also indicates the color of the follet fire box on which the pawn must be moved. Take the pawn and place it on the location of this following free feuil in the path. Jump over the already busy crazy fire boxes.

Think together with the apprentice or witch pawn that you move.

Then spread the card used and place it in a boss of discard. Please note, you can never choose cards in this battery. When there are no more cards in the forest, mix the cards with the discard and place them around the magic path as you did at the start.

Some cards represent the Jasper gnome. If you choose the Jasper card, go back a pawn of your choice of the number of crammed lights indicated. Perfect for repelling witches! There too, ignore the occupied follet fire boxes. Once the pawn is moved, it is the next person's turn.

When there are no more follet fire boxes of the color indicated on the way, move the apprentice or witch pawn on its site of the arrival tile. As soon as the 4 apprentices have joined the arrival tile, you win the game. But beware, if 1 witch does it before, it's lost!

If after several games, you cannot reach Jasper before the witches, set yourself an easier goal: try to bring 2 then 3 apprentices on the arrival tile to win the game. You are on the right track!

It’s far too easy!

If you are ready to take up a more ambitious challenge, try to complete the following 7 levels. In each of them, witches are one step ahead. Can you still join Jasper before them?

Variant “sorcerer's duel“ (2 to 6 players)

After giving the magic crystals to apprentices, Jasper decides to organize a friendly race. You face 2 teams, apprentices against witches, and try to bring all your pawns until the arrival before the opposing team. Distribute the

More equitably possible to train two teams and decide who will play witches and who will play apprentices. Take a role card corresponding to your team and place it visible in front of you.

Return the departure tile and the arrival tile on the face where the raccoon is located and place 3 apprentices and 3 witches on the corresponding boxes of the departure tile. Store the remaining apprentice pawn in the box, you will not need it in this variant.

During a sorcerer's duel, no card is revealed. Instead, a person from each team (choose the one who begins) takes two cards in hand at the start of the game. She then plays one of her 2 cards and moves a pawn accordingly, as explained previously.

Decide as a team which card to play and which pawn to move.

Then draw a card, then it’s the opposing team to play. The first team that brings all their pawns on the arrival tile wins the game!

Good day and good game;)

JJV's Offs

JJV's Offs

On 28/12/2025

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "JJV’s Offs"!

"The past is an echo, the future an illusion; only the present is a portal to the eternity you seek."

The events we have experienced will never return, but remain anchored within us and shape us on our life path. We never really know what life has to offer, so we can only hope to live a life that suits us. But to create this future for ourselves, we must be active in the present. It's the only time we can concretely take action in our lives...

The past is no more, the future has not yet arrived, but the present is, as its name suggests, a gift of everyday life. Every day is a chance to seize to take advantage of what life offers us, an infinite number of opportunities. But if we're stuck in the past or too focused on the future, we can forget to see what's ahead.

What started as a simple joke during a presentation in Spain during a presentation in Italy ultimately became a real opportunity. What was supposed to be a trial period within certain organizations became a series of presentations automatically renewed every year.

I don't regret taking my path step by step, measuring which opportunities were interesting for my small business and which weren't because I wasn't taken seriously or my company was denigrated.

I have principles and a work ethic that have stayed with me since I started the store and that I maintain even now. Simply because they allow me to provide efficient and professional service and benefits to the organizations I work with, and of course, to my customers in the store and during presentations. I've refused to work with organizations that didn't respect their members or my store because it simply didn't align with my values and my way of working. I've been offered attractive contracts for certain aspects that I refused for these same reasons.

I'm not ready to negotiate my values for anything if it doesn't align with them. For example, returning harassment when it's inflicted on me. But I'm a firm believer in putting words into words and discussing what's wrong. You don't solve a problem by returning the same negative energy, but often you have to talk about it so the problem can stop or move on.

As you can see, it's not our past and/or suffering that defines who we will become in the future. Without our present and what we do with it, our future is nothing more than an abstract draft. And our future is never certain, because it changes depending on what we do now. So it's up to us to write our own story! It's up to me to write the store's story. ;)

Good day and good game ;)

2 words game Rift Force

2 words game Rift Force

On 26/12/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Rift Force!

Choose your guilds. For 2 players, ages 10 and up, for 30 minutes. Use their powers to win flawlessly!

In Rift, we'll try to destroy the enemy elementals and control the sites along the rift to earn Rift Force.

Each player chooses a guild composed of a summoner and 9 elementals. In the upper corners of each elemental are a number and a symbol. The number indicates the elemental's health points, and the symbol represents their guild. The opponent's elementals are called "enemies," and your own elementals are called "allies."

After choosing our guilds, we place our 4 summoners near the score track. The player with the first player token places it next to their summoners. We take the 36 elemental cards corresponding to our four guilds. We draw seven elemental cards from our deck to form our starting hand.

Each player alternates between three possible actions. There are three different actions. Play: Place up to three elementals with the same symbol or number from your hand on sites on our rift side. We can play all our elementals on the same site, in any order we choose, or play them on different, adjacent sites. In the latter case, we can only play one elemental per site.

Activate: Place one elemental from our hand in our discard pile, face up. Then, we can activate up to three elementals with the same symbol or up to three elementals with the same number as the discarded elemental. Activated elementals can be on any site and do not need to be adjacent to each other. When you activate an elemental, you use the ability described on your guild's summoner card. You then resolve all the ability's effects in order, from top to bottom. If an effect isn't feasible, you ignore it and move on to the next effect.

Control and draw: You can only perform this action if you have at least 7 elemental cards in hand. You control a site if at least 1 of your elementals is present and no enemies are on that site. You then immediately gain 1 Riftforce for each site you control.

When you choose this action, you are the only one who can gain Riftforce, even if your opponent controls sites at that moment. Then, you draw elemental cards from your deck until you have 7 cards in hand.

As soon as a player reaches 12 Riftforce, the end-of-game condition is triggered. The player completes their entire action. If they were the first player, their opponent plays one last action. If they weren't the first player, the game ends immediately. This means each player will have performed the same number of actions.

The player with the most Riftforce wins!

In the event of a tie, each player plays a new action, and then the scores are compared again. If the tie persists, repeat this step until one player surpasses their opponent's score. They are then declared the winner.

Good day and good game ;)

Hello everyone!

The secret to the immortality of fairy tales.

Since the dawn of time, humans have been telling stories: first in caves, then in homes, by the fireside. Thanks to the words of storytellers, stories have transcended time and borders. Orally, these tales were largely the preserve of women.

The most famous tales were written down as early as the 17th century. First, thanks to the "salonnières," like Marie-Catherine d'Aulnoy: these women held a "salon" in their homes to tell stories.

Then, thanks to the writers who took them up: Charles Perrault published Donkey Skin, his first tale in verse inspired by folk tales, in 1694. Others followed, such as Madame de Villeneuve, Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, Hans Christian Andersen, and the Brothers Grimm. They all convey, with their own words, marvelous tales... "Once upon a time..." This catchphrase is found in every language. It transports us out of time, or rather into another space-time. We leave real life to enter a magical world... The codes of the marvelous transform fairy tales into universal stories that speak to everyone.

In fairy tales, we easily recognize the hero because he faces so many challenges. He's the youngest, the middle child, and lives in poverty... On the other side, we quickly identify the villain, and the threat that hangs over the happiness of the "good guys." The hero always triumphs over trials.

Unlike the heroes of novels, the characters in fairy tales don't reveal any inner thoughts. We get to know them through their actions: Cinderella takes care of the house, Little Red Riding Hood takes a cake to her grandmother...

And many princesses and princes don't even have first names. It's sometimes easier to put yourself in the shoes of a hero who doesn't have a strong identity, so you can project your own emotions onto them. Fairy tale protagonists are flat, so they leave plenty of room for us!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "Offs du JJV"!

"Like the shooting star, the flame, the magical illusion; the dewdrop, the bubble on water; like a dream; lightning or a cloud: consider all things thus."

We don't always realize how much the little things in everyday life are the most beautiful. Many of us spend our time chasing what we would like to be, to have, in an effort to find happiness...

My little daily joys at the store are you. The smiles of the children who forget their sometimes perilous stories for a moment. The complicity in their eyes, even though sometimes they cheat a little and look at me to see if I saw them do it...^^

I'm always quite enthusiastic when I offer you new things in the store and during events, because it gives me the chance to share unique moments with you. I love being proactive and helping you enjoy good times through board games.

I have this dream, perhaps a little illusory, when by bringing you smiles and good humor, I bring, for a brief moment, a moment of complicity and lightness. Connecting with you and sharing moments with you is, for me, a beautiful daily gift.

I appreciate enjoying all these little joys every day, because I know they can end at any moment. Perhaps that's what makes them so unique and precious. My happiness is simply appreciating all the little things that life offers us.

Good day and good game ;)

2 words game Pendulum

2 words game Pendulum

On 19/12/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Pendulum!

It's up to you to race against time, for 1 to 5 players, ages 12 and up, for 60 to 120 minutes, to build wisely!

In Pendulum, each player is a powerful noble who wants to become the new king and great ruler of Dunya. Each noble in the game has unique objectives. Players manage their workers, execute schemes, and develop the provinces within their domain in real time to earn resources and votes. We'll try to climb the power, prestige, popularity, and legendary achievement ladders.

Pendulum is a real-time, turn-free game for managing our resources to beat other players. The various actions are carried out in real time, and players must plan and calculate deadlines to best complete their constructions. Going as quickly as possible isn't always the most optimal solution.

The winner will be the player who manages and organizes their time wisely, not the player who plays the fastest. There are no turns per se in Pendulum except for the council phase. Each player chooses and resolves their actions independently. The board must therefore be accessible to all players at all times.

As soon as all players are ready to begin the game, each player places a shared worker on an action space at the bottom. Then the hourglass or timer is started. Four rounds are then played simultaneously, all in real time. After each round, a council is held. After the council phase of the fourth round, the game ends, and the winner is the player with the most points.

The total number of victory points a player possesses at any one time is limited. If you gain more resources than the 10 cubes you have, you earn points that allow you to reach the end of the line. Any additional points will be lost. Only votes do not follow this pattern, meaning a player is not limited in their number of votes.

Each of the three actions has a cost. The actions of the workers in green and purple require gold, conquering provinces in the black zones requires military personnel, and harvesting strategies require culture.

The game ends after the fourth round's council. If a player has successfully advanced all their cursors onto the parchment section at the end of the course, they are the winner and undisputed ruler. If multiple players meet these conditions, the player with the most victory points on the parchment wins. If no player has managed to reach all of their cursors in the victory point area of the scroll, then the winner is the one who has earned their legendary achievement points. If no player meets these conditions, the player whose square is closest to the scroll area wins. Then, if the conditions are still not met, the next areas continue. If no player meets the victory conditions, the kingdom enters an era of civil war.

Hello everyone!

The Little Mermaid doesn't just lose her voice in exchange for her legs.

Hans Christian Andersen's original tale isn't all that cheerful.

For starters, the Little Mermaid doesn't just lose her voice in exchange for her legs.

Following her pact with the sea witch, every step Ariel takes will cause her excruciating pain, as if she were walking on knives.

The only way for Ariel to have an afterlife is to kiss the prince, but he's about to marry another woman.

On her wedding day, she throws herself into the sea and turns into foam...

JJV's Offs

JJV's Offs

On 14/12/2025

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "JJV Offs"!

"Attachment is the great source of illusions. Reality can only be reached by those who are detached."

We often feel held back when we listen to what other people say. When I first started the store, I listened a lot to what people said and often gave it too much importance.

Yes, yes, even to people who only had unconstructive or even clearly destructive opinions to offer me. And yes, I was still somewhat naive when I opened the store over seven years ago now.

I did what I could at the time, based on the childhood wounds I still carried within me... I learned that listening to what anyone says, especially people who don't want the best for you, is destabilizing. I tend to give the benefit of the doubt a lot to people I meet the first time. I quickly learned the hard way that it's a pretty harsh response to oneself when faced with people who use others for their own ends...

Yes, yes, I know I was naive... Some will say that I'm bad now, good for them. If they need me to be the bad guy in the story so they don't have to face their evil deeds, so be it. I was tired of being helpful and friendly in the face of people who want to harm you. I've recently managed to detach myself from people's gaze, and believe me, I'm happier on a daily basis.

I truly believed when I moved to Vaison with my husband that people would be cooler and more tolerant. That's really not how I would describe some people in Vaison...

There are definitely some people here who are unbearable. Adults who harass and mock for no reason (thankfully, otherwise it would cost them dearly :) ). People who need to belittle and talk insidiously about others because when they talk about their lives, no one listens to them...

I suffered greatly for several years from these malicious people, for their own pleasure (and yes, rejoicing in the misfortune of others seems to be their favorite pastime). I wanted to give more of my time and energy, thinking that it was me who wasn't giving enough or wasn't tolerant enough.

But there's nothing good you can do with such people except detach yourself and not worry about them. Detachment is more than necessary if you live among these kinds of disgusting characters.

So I chose to detach myself, which allows me to have more time for all the wonderful people who live in Vaison and its surroundings. These are people who see relationships as an exchange and not as the consumption of a person, as we would with objects.

I no longer have time and energy to give to people who don't deserve it, but I will always have time for honest, kind people ready to create a real human connection.

I always look forward to seeing you in the store every day and at events to share good times with you, and that's not going to change anytime soon. ;)

Good day and good game ;)

2 words game Villainous power of lie

2 words game Villainous the power of lie

On 12/12/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Villainous, the power of lies!

You take control of the world. For 2 to 3 players, ages 12 and up, for 40 to 60 minutes, you can become the best villain and triumph over your enemies!

Each player will read their villain's guide to learn their specific abilities. The "objective" cards list the actions each villain can perform during a turn.

There are three difficulty levels: Omnipotent (easy), in which all events are removed and all cards that mention them are ignored; Inevitable (medium), in which events are included; and Immortal (difficult), in which a variation of the game makes the game more complicated.

Each player has their own board and cards for each villain. Each card is placed on its own board and represents its actions and events.

On their turn, a villain moves their character token from one space on their board to another. The cards in your hand, pile, and discard pile are not part of your playing area.

Each space on the board represents an action zone. Each action can be performed in any order. You can perform one action per turn for each icon. Actions are optional and you are not required to perform them.

Action cards can be covered by "ally" or "destiny" cards. These attacks are then blocked. For this action to be performed, the card covering it must be moved elsewhere, defeated, discarded, or removed.

At the end of the turn, if you have fewer than four cards, you draw the remaining cards from your villain deck to always have four cards in your hand.

There are different types of actions, such as gaining power tokens, playing a card from your hand, or even playing a card from your hand. Activate an ally, an item, or an ability; Move an ally or event card; Defeat a hero or ally; Use a destiny card and discard cards.

The first villain to complete their objectives wins the game.

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new installment of "Offs du JJV"!

"No one loses their illusions unless they ardently desire life."

We sometimes have high expectations that we hope to achieve in our lives. We don't always realize that the path to achieving them is the most beautiful adventure we can experience.

Ever since I was a child, I've always loved seeing other people share good times together. From a very young age, I've often been the instigator of games or events that brought my friends and classmates together.

I would create my own games and toys, which I would lend to my friends and classmates so they could try them out too. And then, we quickly started holding mini contests or challenges with them.

It's no surprise that I ended up working in the world of children's animation, first for children, and then for various types of audiences. What inspires me most in my current animation career, and what I've retained from my childhood, is bringing people together in a joyful environment.

I was often told as a child that it was a bit of an illusion to aspire to bring people together... And then I continued to hear it as I grew up. I heard it again a few years ago when I launched the store and began the game animations...

It just goes to show that when you really have a project at heart, no matter how you approach it, you can end up making it happen.

I'm very satisfied when I see my players and customers create connections through games. I have other things that are important to me, and I will continue to believe in them and to make my idea flourish: that we can create connections between people, with games or other things... ;)

Good day and good game ;)

2 words game Treasure Island

2 words game Treasure Island

On 05/12/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Treasure Island!

Let's go! For 2 to 5 players, ages 10 and up, for 45 minutes, to be the richest sailor!

In Treasure Island, one of the players plays Long John Silver, who is being held prisoner by his crew because he's the only one who knows the exact location of the treasure!

The other players play as pirates, determined to find his treasure. They then interrogate Long John Silver and search the island. Long John Silver must cover his tracks and wait for the right moment to escape and recover his treasure before the mutinous pirates!

The game board representing Treasure Island is placed in the center of the table. Long John Silver has various types of clues that he must give to the pirates under certain conditions. When a clue requires them to write their information directly on the game board, only Long John Silver can write these clues down on the game board.

If unsure about giving a clue, Long John Silver can ask the pirates to close their eyes so he can check the necessary information directly on the game board.

The starting clues and the black spot clues are played face up on the calendar board and give all the pirates an indication of the treasure's location. Some clues have a chest icon and are more favorable to Long John Silver. For each of these clues that Long John Silver wishes to play, he must have previously given a chest token to a pirate.

If Long John has a hand of three clues with a chest icon, he may, if he wishes, show his hand of clues to the pirates, shuffle it into the Clue deck, and draw three new clues. At the start of the game, Long John Silver only has "Truth" Information tokens. The first Starting Clue he plays is always played with a "Truth" Information token.

He will collect the two "Bluff" Information tokens during the game, depending on the events in the calendar. From the second clue onward, there is therefore some doubt about the accuracy of the clues given by Long John.

Silver can note on his Mini Map which clue was given to each pirate by indicating that pirate's initials. Chest tokens allow Long John Silver to give a pirate an advantage in their search for treasure. In return, Long John Silver can play a Starting Clue or a Black Spot clue with a Chest icon for each Chest token he has given.

Chest tokens are single-use and are given during the pirates' unsuccessful searches on the game board. Each pirate places their figures on their starting location and completely traces the dotted circle around their figures. When all the figurines are positioned, Long John Silver hides his treasure. He marks the treasure's location on his mini-map with a black marker. He can choose any location on Treasure Island, except in a starting circle, in areas demarcated by a red border, or at the border between two board elements.

A game of Treasure Island is played over several turns until one of the pirates or Long John Silver finds the treasure.

Long John Silver and pirates play differently.

A turn consists of the following steps: 1 calendar update (Long John Silver); 1 calendar event (Long John Silver); 1 action selection (Pirates).

Each pirate has their own special actions, with limited or unlimited use. As soon as a Turn Order token is placed on the Escape date of the calendar, Long John Silver escapes from prison. From now on, players play clockwise, starting with Long John Silver. The only action available to Long John Silver is movement on horseback (up to 6 miles).

Pirates retain their two actions per turn (as indicated on the Escape date) until the end of the game. If Long John Silver manages to position his figurine on the treasure location before a pirate finds the treasure, he wins the game!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "Offs du JJV"!

« To love chess is to love combat, struggle, game and loyalty. »

When you play chess you are forced to follow the rules and strategically move your pawns to succeed in winning. It is also knowing how to face the difficulties and changes that are imposed on us during the blows of our opponent.

As in everyday life, failures require a lot of courage and diligence to learn from our mistakes. But we cannot progress and get what we want if we don't learn anything from our mistakes.

When we learn to play chess, we develop determination skills to understand what error made us lose and how to correct it or improve us to progress in a better way afterwards.

Failures teach us to face various difficulties and anticipate the blows of our opponent to try to win the final victory. We can sacrifice certain pawns to make more advanced blows and win important parts.

Sometimes we lose useful parts, but we must always understand why we have lost them and how to do it differently without them. We then get out of his comfort zone and we learn to place our pawns in a different way.

The failures develop this determination and this intellectual gymnastics which makes it possible to adapt to all the game situations that face us. I like to face the different events of the store, even if they are not always easy.

I’m not afraid to deal with indelicate situations or people, because it’s part of the game to do something out of the ordinary. And then when we try to develop a project or a strategy, we always advance more than those who do nothing ...

2 words game Spinning Top

2 words game Spinning top

On 28/11/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about spinning top!

You are rotating, alone or several and from 6 years old for 10 to 20 minutes, to run your spinning top!

Who hasn't played a spinning top when he was a child? We have all been amazed children by top and its ingenious rotation system on its axis.

There are different methods to run a spinning top and play in different games.

You can play the spinning battle by rotating them and making them hit to see which top will best resist blows by the other top. If the top leaves the space then defines it is eliminated.

You can also play the Toupies race. We create corridors for each top and we see which arrives first until the finish line.

A more complex game, the creation of drawings and patterns with the toupies. The toupies are placed on a flat surface and create unique mandalas that create fascinating circles. Depending on the rotation of each top, you can create ever more complex shapes.

The "rope tower" variant of the use of traditional top, supposes that a rope is wrapped around the top to run it in different directions. You can also use a coin to place it on the tip of the top and turn it with your fingers.

We can then make the top more easily run in different directions to create even more complex shapes and patterns.

When we play "Corona Spin", we use two opposite toupies to each other which will turn together in the same direction but to form an eight or a circle.

Periodical games

The game of swollen outrages. We bring one in addition that we swell (sewn animal skin which serves as a container), or it is for special occasions filled with wine.

Outside it was greased. The contenders are online and move on in the outripe on the outrys. They all fall, unless a managed to cross the ground without falling, he wins. He then won the besides full of wine. Often goats, because they eat the vines.

The torchor's race. We assembled a tower near the altar of Prometheus which was the starting line. A long voice crossed ceramics and resulted in the door of the city. It was the racetrack.

The runners did not run together, and passed according to the draw. We were lighting a sacred torch on the altar of Prometheus. It was then necessary with the flame to go through the paths in the city without the flame going out but quickly enough to do it before the other players.

This race was made most often on foot, but sometimes also on horseback. The torches were similar to candles on a candlestick with a disc.

The jump over flames. In Rome, 11 days before the calendars of May, we celebrated the pallies, devoted to the divinity of the work of the fields. We lited lights in pieces of straw everywhere and we had to jump over it. This game comes from northern cultures at the base and fire represents the soul of homes. It was the home of beliefs and at the time we could have two. It was a way of converting to another belief to purify yourself.

The exercise of the bull's skin. These Roman games were in honor of the gods of hell. Young people had to stand up on a slippery bull skin. You had to see if they were skillful and strong on their legs.

During the May Games, the inhabitants made various games in the water to confront friendly. They had fun throwing themselves into the water, each other.

JJV's Offs

JJV's Offs

On 23/11/2025

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new installment of "Offs du JJV"!

"Playing well is not playing... It's very easy!"

When you do things from the heart, you don't need to force things or put on a certain air when sharing with your customers. That's the person you see in the store; that's who I am every day.

I don't need to pretend to be someone else to share interesting discussions or good times with you. The person you see in the event and in the store is me, not a salesperson.

The only time I have to put on my "salesperson" mask is when I'm dealing with rude or rude people. I then adopt a calm, respectful attitude, even if I don't give anything in return.

It's simply because I'm convinced and convinced that you don't treat a wound by rubbing salt in it. Returning disrespect to a disrespectful person is the same principle for me.

So yes, I force myself when dealing with rude people to reflect my principles and values by giving them the minimum amount of respect and not stooping to disrespecting them in return. It's just not like me...

There's no need to remember what you said or who you are when you're not playing a double role and being yourself. And honestly, now the rumors and lies told about you don't bother me. I know what I did and what I didn't do.

If people have a problem with me but prefer to tell everyone about it rather than talk about it and resolve it like adults, that's their problem, not mine.

I will always remain true to who I am, with my principles and values, and as long as it doesn't hurt anyone, I don't care what people say. The gossip of people incapable of taking charge of their own lives to improve them is way beyond me.

I won't play the game of gossip and backlash. We can simply give what we have... If we don't have it in us to be fair to others, then that's their problem, not mine...

It's by doing anything that we become anyone. So these people who say anything about others to give themselves some kind of substance here, it makes me laugh.

So I observe, I watch, and I continue my life as if they didn't exist, even if they are persistent in putting others down. If they were as determined to make something of themselves as they are to invent nonsense about others, they would make things of themselves...

Even if idiots try to take away my peace of mind because they can't seem to have any themselves, I look at them and laugh at their futile efforts... For me, it's easy, I am who I am, I don't need to play games, and I will always be like this and at peace in my life. ;)

Have a good day and good game ;)

2 words game Kubb

2 words game Kubb

On 21/11/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about the game of Kubb!

Take aim at the enemy pins, in two teams and for ages 8 and up, for 20 to 30 minutes, to knock down the king and win!

Kubb, an outdoor game of Viking origin, is a combination of bowling, horseshoe throwing, and chess. The word "Kubb" means "wooden block" in the dialect of Gotland (a Swedish island in the Baltic Sea).

The rules can vary from country to country and region to region. It seems that Kubb was played in different parts of Sweden at the beginning of the 20th century, although the exact rules are unknown today.

Revitalized in the 1990s, Kubb quickly enjoyed a resurgence in popularity, and since 1995 the annual World Championship has been held on the island of Gotland.

The game of Kubb consists of 23 pieces:

- Ten Kubbs, wooden parallelepipeds (approximately 15cm L x 5.5cm W).

- One king (30cm L x 8cm W).

- Six wooden sticks, cylinders (approximately 30cm L x 3cm W).

- Six stakes, or markers, indicating the corners of the court.

Kubb is played on a rectangular court approximately 4m wide by 8m long (smaller if playing with children). The game is played on grass or sand.

The stakes are placed in the ground at the four corners of the court and on the center line.

The narrow ends are called the "baselines." The king is placed in the center, halfway between the baselines. An imaginary line drawn by the king and parallel to both baselines divides the court into two halves. Kubbs are placed along each baseline, five on each side.

The goal is to knock over the opponent's wooden blocks (kubbs) using sticks. The winner is the first, and only finally, to knock over the king.

There are two phases to each team's turn:

1. Team A throws the six sticks from their baseline onto their opponent's kubbs. The sticks must rotate lengthwise.

2. The knocked-over kubbs are then thrown by hand by Team B onto Team A's half of the court from their baseline. These newly thrown kubbs are called field kubbs.

These kubbs are returned to the spot where they fell. Play then changes hands, and Team B throws the sticks at Team A's kubbs, but all the field kubbs must first be knocked down before they can shoot the baseline kubbs.

If Team B doesn't knock down all the field kubbs, the field kubb closest to the king now represents Team A's shooting line. All fallen kubbs are thrown from the original baseline, as are attempts to shoot the king.

Play continues in this way until one team knocks down all the field and baseline kubbs. If that team still has sticks to throw, they may make one attempt at shooting the king. If a thrower successfully knocks down the king, they win the game.

However, if at any time the king is accidentally knocked down—even by a newly thrown kubb—the team immediately loses the game.

Have a nice day and good game ;)

Hello everyone!

The Game of Latrunculas

We conquer pawns by capturing them. Some pieces have basic moves, while others are more advanced. We captured pawns based on alignments. We had to both block our opponent's pieces and capture them. Depending on the alignment of our pieces, standard pieces could make oblique moves of one or more squares.

There were two different types of pieces: Thief = soldier. Latrunculas = pawns (more moderate movement than thieves, soldiers). There was a first line of latrunculas and the other of thieves. The pieces were arranged like on a chessboard.

The game was influenced by chess. Latrunculas only moved one square, always forward, and were mainly used to block the opponent's pieces. Thieves could advance several squares, but only obliquely (diagonally). They would be equivalent to the queen and would borrow her moves.

The latrunculas were sometimes made of glass, sometimes of different colors. The pawns are cylindrical. They played on ivory abacuses (boards). The pieces must support each other to be able to attack another piece. One latruncula must be supported by another, and one thief by another.

Have a good day and good game ;)

JJV's Offs

JJV's Offs

On 16/11/2025

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new installment of "JJV Offs"!

"If I weren't a chess player, I'd be the best at something else."

I've always loved playing chess, because it's allowed me to connect with my grandfather and develop an unwavering determination.

Board games have always been one of my passions, but not the only one. If one day the gaming world evolved in a way that didn't suit me, I could start a new project that I enjoyed without any worries.

For my part, I wouldn't be so bold as to claim to be the best at it, like chess champion Anatoly Karpov. I'm always striving to improve myself and be better than I was the day before.

I have many passions and desires that would allow me to work in other fields that I also enjoy immensely. What I love about board games is that they allow you to share unique moments with your loved ones.

I also really enjoy sharing moments and discussions around games with you, because they are always enriching on a human level. I love discussing games with you that are as simple as they are strategic, because they allow us to discover ourselves.

As long as I'm in the board game world, I will always try to push myself to offer you even more choices that suit you. Always being proactive is a way for me to share my passion for the world of games with you.

Because I'm not afraid of failing and having to try again and again. Because each time, it allows me to start from scratch and not from scratch. And I find that's a good springboard for believing in your projects.

Have a good day and enjoy the game ;)

2 words game Paws

2 words game Paws

On 14/11/2025

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about the game of Paws!

Place your pucks, 2 to 4 players, ages 6 and up, for 20 to 30 minutes, to get closer to the river without going over the edge!

The sun is heating up the Savannah. Step into the shoes of a thirsty animal for a game. Get as close as possible to the river to drink without being eaten by the crocodiles hiding there. Avoid being tripped up and escape the mischievous monkeys. Place the river (the 3m rope) stretched horizontally 7m from the players. Each player takes a set of 4 paws of the same animal. Players each take a banana.

The playing area is located between the river line and the players, along the length of the river. A game is played over several rounds. A round ends when all players have thrown their paws and bananas.

Players take turns throwing a paw. It must always be thrown in front of the previous one without crossing the river and ignoring other animals. When a thrown paw touches another paw right side up, nothing happens. When a thrown paw touches an upside-down paw (pattern not visible), regardless of the owner, they are eliminated.

Remember to leave room to place your remaining paws in front of those already thrown. Once the paw stops in its path, check whether it is valid or eliminated. Valid paws are located between the river and the paw of the same animal previously thrown.

Eliminated paws are those that have not passed the paws of the same animal previously thrown, that bite the river current or pass beyond it, or when a thrown paw touches one or more upside-down paws (pattern side not visible). The eliminated paws are then thrown to the crocodiles and thrown into the river.

Exceptionally, if a paw touches the same spot (visible pattern) as the previously thrown animal without making it cross the river, the paws remain in play as they are, whether now turned over or not. If during the throw, the paw pushes an opposing paw into the river or bites into the river's edge, the opposing paw will be eliminated and thrown to the crocodiles.

If the thrown paw slightly shifts the river's edge, it remains where it is, and the river's edge is slightly shifted. When all the paws have been thrown, the prankster monkeys enter the game. The monkeys have only one goal in life: to annoy the other animals. They are symbolized by bananas.

Each player takes turns throwing their banana, trying to target the opposing animals. If the banana touches one or more paws before stopping, all the paws touched are eliminated and thrown to the crocodiles, whether they belong to the thrower or another player.

Points are scored in three different ways at the end of the round. One point is scored for each paw remaining in the playing area for each animal. For each animal, the player looks at the one closest to the river without having crossed it. Players then earn three points for their animal closest to the river line.

The second earns them two points, and the third one. The other animals earn no points. Finally, among the paws closest to the river for all players, the one whose paw is closest earns two additional points. The winner is the player with a total score of 25 points or more. In the event of a tie, the players are broken by a final throw.

Have a good day and good game ;)
