Welcome to a new opus of "Offs du JJV"!

There are illusions that turn into reality and bring us great happiness. But some hopes are unfulfilled or have guided us towards something else, sometimes much better for us.

When I first started the store, I was so eager to launch outdoor events that I started accepting proposals wherever they were, sometimes authorizing anything and everything...

Organizations where I honored my services and who subsequently refused to pay even though they had signed the quote committing them to pay. So I insisted on receiving my payment and refused to host events in those organizations afterward. Associations or organizations that take the liberty of canceling the event slot at the last minute, claiming I was a micro-business, didn't have to notify me before canceling because that's all I had to do...

Of course, I did my job when asked, but once the events were completed, I refused to do the next ones. In my opinion, respect for both parties in a partnership is the basic criterion.

So I've put simple but basic terms and rules into my partnerships to ensure I don't relive these degrading exchanges for my store. I offer an event service to share good times with players from beginners to avid enthusiasts.

These same organizations that, after disrespecting me and expressing it calmly and respectfully face to face, try to contact me again every year as if nothing had happened. I'm not particularly resentful, but once someone has damaged my store, there's no point in coming to me for anything...

I will never tolerate anyone crossing the line regarding the store, or even me. Never again will I let rude and unpleasant people think it's normal to insult and belittle me and then come and ask me for favors or anything else as if nothing had happened.

If these people come back to me after disrespecting me, it shows that I'm not the problem, otherwise they wouldn't come back. :) They can say whatever they want, intelligent people see beyond the gossip and backbiting... ; )

And my reality now is that I only have partnerships where mutual respect is the basis, and that's priceless... Thank you to these associations and organizations that trust me every year throughout the year. You're awesome too ;)
