Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new installment of "JJV's Off"!

"The circus is a place of dreams, where children and adults can escape."

Many people become children again when they go to the circus. The difficulty of an act, the unexpected surprise that makes our eyes widen, the joke that throws us off balance and makes us laugh. The controlled risk of the trapeze artists that leaves us breathless. The anticipation of a clown's recurring joke, etc…

Board games also provide a comforting framework that allows everyone, on an equal footing, to explore strategies of varying difficulty. But above all, they offer a setting where we can come together to enjoy ourselves and enrich ourselves with discoveries that create a life experience…

I truly see them as an escape, a suspended moment where everyone enjoys themselves, focuses, and achieves goals or pushes their limits to understand the game, try to master it, and have fun with shared rules.

Board games, for me, ever since I was little, have always been a source of connection and shared joy, smiles, and even laughter. I started playing with my grandparents, and especially my grandfather.

These unique moments, when I was able to have a normal childhood thanks to them, will forever remain my most cherished childhood memories, even though they are no longer here.

Their memories and the way they raised me will stay with me throughout my life, because it is thanks to them that I didn't succumb to a difficult childhood with my parents.

From the very first moments I was able to enjoy playing with my grandparents and at school, where I was a normal child, I understood that playing was a unique moment of freedom and discovery.

And since then, I've never stopped. Even at school with my classmates, I loved seeing them laugh and have fun with the different games I had created for them. As a young child, I adored these moments of respite where I could play and enjoy myself like the other children without fearing any repercussions.

It's very important to me to participate in the various events that allow me to bring smiles to children who may have had similar experiences to mine. The "smile fairy," as they so kindly and innocently call me, hopes to bring them that smile every time.

It might not seem like much to many people in their daily lives, but bringing them a little dose of positivity, connection, and sharing means something to them. And one thing that never fades, and that I never tire of seeing on their faces, is their smiles.

Have a good day and enjoy the game ;)
