Hello everyone!
Welcome to a new opus of "JJV Offs"!
"Carnival is a place for meeting and sharing, where people can come together and celebrate."
What I love about carnival is that it brings people together through a joyful and colorful atmosphere. We can all party and have fun together.
This is often what happens when I offer you activities that allow you to meet very different kinds of people.
These same differences that I personally find enriching. Because if we were all the same, life would be boring.
What I find in my activities with you is this sharing and this connection that develops beyond our mutual differences.
When I lead or co-lead in France, Italy, or Spain, we often laugh at our cultural differences, which can lead to some funny situations…^^ For example, in Spanish, we say "tonto" (idiot) instead of "tanto" (as much), or in Italian, we say "fica" (the female part) instead of "fico" (fig).
Luckily, I have Italian and Spanish colleagues who understand it's a linguistic slip and gently tease me about it afterward without taking offense…^^
We are all different and have grown up differently. But it's precisely these differences that allow us to open ourselves to others and discover other ways of thinking, broadening our minds. ;)
Good day and good game! ;)
