One of the most interesting things about running a business is talking to our customers.
Especially in the field of board games.
A playful world where everyone is welcome and can find a game that will capture their interest.
Each exchange is enriching and allows you to take advantage of simple but important moments in the life of a business.
I often smile thinking of this little 4 year old dinosaur fan who when he saw dino magma couldn't stand still.
Or the delighted smile of this nice 85-year-old lady who, when she found the Twin It game to play with her grandchildren, opened it in the store to observe all the cards.
So many little things in the life of a business and life in general that make me happy and encourage me to continue to share these unique moments of my board game store with you.

Hello everyone !
Today we are going to talk about Rainforest!
In Rainforest, arrange your jungle harmoniously with the different types of vegetation and reintroduce the region's emblematic animal species to help preserve them: monkeys, frogs, butterflies or even parrots.
But don't forget to ensure the survival of your totem animal, because it will earn you valuable points. On his turn, the player performs two mandatory actions in order:
1 Take the first Jungle tile from a pile and then all the Species tokens of a single color or type from the same area.
2 Distribute the Species tokens collected on his Jungle tiles waiting in his blank area then validate those that are completed by moving them to his Jungle.
Each player was assigned a totem animal at the start of the game.
Tiles completed with tokens of his totem animal will earn more points.
As soon as a player validates his 9th Jungle tile, the players end the game turn and the game ends.
The player with the most points wins the game.

In games you can find the mediator player, the determined, the sore loser, the always ready and so many others…

2 words game My kingdom for a tale
Hello everyone !
Today we are going to talk about My kingdom for a story.
Basically, you need 4 level 1 tiles (the heroes and monsters), 3 level 2 tiles (the land), 2 level 3 tiles (the workshops) and 1 level 4 castle.
Last rule to respect: you can only place a tile on a higher floor if it rests on a tile of the same color.
Players score the value of tiles that meet these stacking rules. (max 20 HP) .
At the second level of play, which is aimed at the widest audience, players start the game with 3 story cards that each link 5 or 6 tiles as part of a story.
As players draft their tiles, they will select one of their tale cards. Each tile that will eventually appear both in their Kingdom and on the story map will give them a bonus of 2 VP.
The player who totals the most points by adding his Kingdom points and his bonus points wins the game and reads to the other players the adventure he has just experienced.
The third level of play is aimed at families of players who are used to managing several game parameters. The tales are typed there.
You can choose evil tales if you prefer to play bad and rot other players, heroic tales if you feel like a paladin or a love tale if you are more romantic.
Each type of account offers different conditions and bonuses.
A dozen events will take place during your draft and if you are opportunistic you may be able to obtain valuable bard tokens. At the end of the game, you score the points of your kingdom.
Now comes the spectacle of the bard taking over your adventure to play it from castle to castle.
The more bonuses you have accumulated during your game, the more chance you have that the bard transforms them into VP and that your adventure becomes legendary and that we still tell it to our children today.

Filitosa, a mineral enigma frozen in granite
A green valley, planted with olive trees and oaks, where cows graze, at the edge of the Sardelle stream.
Country sweetness in Corsica. Anyone who enters here can only be disturbed by the serenity of the place.
And then, suddenly, at a bend in the path, a strange appearance: thirteen granite statues with human shapes...
First there is, seeming to stand guard, the imposing “Filitosa V”, massive, square, with a well-drawn spine, unequivocally carrying a sword and a dagger.
Then, at the top of a hill, a series of seven monoliths lined up like an army, including "Filitosa VI", with a stern look, wearing a hemispherical helmet, and "Filitosa IX", with a sculpted face, a disturbing realism.

Today we are going to talk about Guilds!
You seek to be elected at the head of Portyl, a medieval city made up of different more or less powerful guilds that you will have to convert to your cause in order to recover their votes.
The election is done in three ballots, with a count of votes at the end of each ballot. At the end of the third ballot, the player with the most votes will be named head of the city and will win the game.
Map selection Guild
Players take the cards they received at the start of the round, choose one and pass the remaining cards to their right or left neighbor.
Once a card is chosen, it cannot be changed. We proceed in this way (take the cards, choose a card, pass the remaining cards) until there are no more cards to select.
Place Guild Cards
Once the choice has been made, the players will lay down their cards, one by one. All held cards will not be played. Each player chooses a card from their hand and places it face down in front of them. When all players have placed a card, they are revealed simultaneously.
Each player places the selected card in front of him and classifies his cards by type.
Elections
During the first ballot, for each guild, only the player with the most cards from this guild is taken into account.
During the second ballot, for each guild, the two players with the most cards from this guild are taken into account.
During the third and last ballot, for each guild, the three players with the most cards from this guild are taken into account.
The player with the most cards scores as many votes as the first value of this tally.
The 2nd player with the most cards scores as many votes as the second value.

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are certainly the most mysterious wonder of the world.
Their existence is still debated and if the unanswered questions remain, the fascination is intact.
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon are, with the Pyramid of Cheops, the Lighthouse of Alexandria, the gold and ivory statue of Zeus at Olympia, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus, the Tomb of Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.
Their construction would date back to the 6th century BC and they would be the work of Nebuchadnezzar II, king of Babylon.
The latter, who devoted a large part of his reign to the embellishment of Babylon, would have created these gardens to please his wife, nostalgic for the green mountains of Media, a region in northwestern Iran from which she originated.
Lush gardens overlooking the city Diodorus of Sicily, Strabo, Ctesias of Cnide, Clitarch, Berosus many Greek and Roman authors left descriptions of the hanging gardens of Babylon.
Few, however, have seen them, and most of these writings are reported stories.

Games that make you dream
We have not all necessarily had the thing of knowing the pleasure of meeting around board games.
Many of us have played classics such as thousand terminals, monopoly, uno and so on… :)
Board games come in so many different themes and offer a wide variety of game mechanics that it would be a shame to deprive yourself of them.
For children, these are often unforgettable memories with parents, grandparents, uncles and aunts, brothers and sisters, etc.
I particularly appreciate when my players or customers tell me an anecdote related to the games that marked them and still makes them smile even years or decades later...
From a memory of a grandmother who used to play with her grandmother and now plays with her granddaughter, it's just a priceless heirloom.
A game can trigger more than just a game.
Whether it's a chat, an anecdote or a memory, there are moments that will never fade...

Today we are going to talk about Dragon Keeper!
In those primeval times when men and dragons were enemies, ancient adventurers left their home guilds to serve a dragon.
They protect it from repeated attacks by adventurers attracted by its fabulous treasure, buried in the basement of the castle. What if there was more than gold to protect?
In the tile collection game Dragon Keeper: The Dungeon, you play as these guardians and must capture the adventurers who invade the dungeon rooms, but you must remain loyal to your guild by avoiding capturing its members.
Once you have repelled the assaults, you give the dragon a portion of the adventurers you have captured as tribute... In more detail, the game contains tiles of five different colors and different values.
These tiles represent adventurers who want to steal the dragon's loot. You are responsible for removing these adventurers from the dungeon.
Each turn, you take one tile for yourself and give another tile to another player.
The choice of tiles depends on the position of the dragon (because the tile must be in its line or in its column).
Then the dragon is moved to the location of the tile that was just removed.
Thus, each tile decision limits the choice of the next tile to be taken. At the start of the game, each player receives a color that he keeps secret, this color corresponding to his guild of origin.
Each tile of this color gives them negative points. Players stack their collected tiles by color, and at the end of the game, the topmost stack is removed.
If this stack is the player's guild color, then the player must discard the next highest stack instead. Players then add up the values of their tiles, and whoever has the most points wins.

The kingdom of Cantre'r Gwaelod lives on the blurry line between fact and fiction.
Welsh legend speaks of a long-sunken kingdom known as Cantre'r Gwaelod, once discovered off the rocky shores of Cardigan Bay in the Irish Sea.
Although hard evidence for 'Welsh Atlantis' has been lacking, a new analysis of one of Britain's oldest surviving maps suggests there may be an element of truth to this much-loved myth.
As reported in the journal Atlantic Geology, researchers from Oxford University and Swansea University recently studied the Gough Map, a famous medieval map of Britain, and found that it appears to represent two mysterious islands off the west coast of Wales.
No one knows who made the map, how it was created, or even when it was published, although most current estimates say it was made around the 13th or 14th centuries CE.
Gough's map is a little sketchy on detail (to say the least), but it's one of the first maps to show Britain in a geographically recognizable form.

Hello everyone !
Today we are going to talk about The Three Coins Legend .
At each turn, one of the players is the narrator of the story that we are all writing together.
We will use the chosen cards and the "story elements" dice to imagine the adventures of our main character.
Place the corresponding elements in their place, but be careful because the ink to tell the story is not unlimited.
Choose the map together to continue the story, with or without a hitch!
Depending on the coin placed, you can lose drops of ink that are so precious for the rest of the story.
If you run out of ink before the Happy Ending, the story ends and the game is lost!

The korrigan
An integral part of Celtic folklore, the korrigan, a word which means "little dwarf" in Breton, is a mischievous and legendary little being who takes refuge in the moors.
We tell you all about these fairy tale characters!
He plays his tricks at dusk, coming out of his hiding place in the caves or dolmens of Brittany to dance and scare visitors...
The korrigan, from the Breton “korr”, which means “dwarf”, is a puny being, close to the goblin, which is part of Celtic folklore.
Recognizable by its funny appearance – pointed hat, imposing nose and large ears, impressive hair in particular – the korrigan is characterized above all by its very playful side.
Very popular in Brittany, they are the subject of many books, tales and other comic strips, and are the effigy of many shops, cafes and other public places.

Today we are going to talk about Palm Reader.
Palm Reader is a cooperative board game in which a symbol known to one player must be guessed by all the others.
Using his index finger, the first player draws this symbol in the palm of his neighbor on the left, who then does the same in the palm of his own neighbor on the left, and so on without anyone ever being able to see what is drawn.
It is then up to each person to guess which symbol he felt drawn in his hand.
All players try to achieve the highest possible score together.
ROUND RESOLUTION
Without saying anything, the first player reveals the face of the card showing the symbol to be guessed, so that everyone can observe the 5 symbols of the card, and thus try to identify the symbol that has been drawn for them in the hand.
At this stage, it is still forbidden to communicate about the current round.
All the players raise a closed fist towards the center of the table and count down: “3, 2, 1? then simultaneously show with their fingers the number corresponding to the symbol they think has been drawn in the palm of their hand.
The first player then says the number of the symbol to be identified.
Starting from the first player and going to his left, count the number of players who have correctly and successively made the next player guess the symbol.
Each player involved is worth 1 point.
The height of the victory is defined by the total number of points scored at the end of the 10 innings.
It varies according to the number of players.

In JJV's Offs
Hello everyone !
Welcome to a new opus of the JJV Offs!
Playful pixies.
During the Christmas period, we offer manual workshops and free games for all children from 4 years old every Sunday in December before Christmas.
In addition to the workshops, I become a playful elf by volunteering play time with children in Vaucluse, Drôme and Gard before Christmas.
After Christmas, my role as a playful elf continues somewhat during the Suns of Winter games and manual workshops offered by the town hall of Angers.
It is important for me, at Christmas even more than at other times, to bring a smile to the faces of the children that we make play with my former colleagues from the town hall and the other volunteers.
It was my former colleagues who pushed me to tell you about the volunteer work I do, otherwise I would not have mentioned the subject.
Either way, my role as a playful elf brings me a lot of human joy.
The smile of children and families is the greatest thank you we can receive.
Thank you again to all the volunteers in the fun world and all the volunteers in general, you are on top ;)

Today we are going to talk about Sans queue ni tête!
Goal:
You have to rebuild the chameleons on the table piece by piece and try not to be the color with the most points on any of them.
At the end of a round, the player whose color has the most points on a chameleon will score those points.
Players can score on multiple Chameleons at once.
As soon as a player reaches 32 points, the game is over and the player with the fewest points wins.
Overview:
A complete game takes place in several rounds, a round is made up of 6 rounds, a round is made up of 3 phases
1. Choose cards Each player secretly chooses the card they want to play and places it face down on the table.
2. Roll dice When each player has a card face down in front of them, everyone rolls their dice. The player with the lowest score starts. In the event of a tie, the tied players re-roll their dice until a winner emerges.
3. Playing card The first player reveals his card and plays it.
Then, starting with the player on his left, the other players take turns doing the same in a clockwise direction.
Once the construction of a chameleon has started, you must complete its construction by placing cards on it clockwise.
When all players have played, begin the next round, resuming from phase 1.

Canadian Pacific
Gathered under the Canadian Pacific (CP) banner, a group of Montreal businessmen developed the project for a transcontinental railway in 1879.
CP first chose Port Moody (formerly Moodyville) as the western terminus of its railroad.
Thus, on July 4, 1886, the first train from Montreal reached Port Moody after a tortuous journey of some 5,000 km.
The following year, the railway will be extended by 20 km to Vancouver.

Today we are going to talk about Tock's game!
The game of tock is a Canadian game that is played like the game of ludo but with cards and more strategy.
First each player has a hand of 4 cards.
At each game turn the players will have to draw a card and discard one.
At the start of the game, the players of the tock game have no pawns out.
To put their pawns into play they will have to place a ROI or an AS. Then they will move their pawns with the cards.
The tock game is an excellent board game, quickly set up is explained.
Thanks to this game, adults will rediscover the pleasure of playing the traditional game of bidets but with a more interesting dimension since it will require a little strategy on the part of the players in order to make the best use of their cards.

This is the Sam Kee Company procured a standard size pitch in 1903.
When the City expropriated 7 m of the front part of the land to widen the street, the owner swore that he would build anyway.
The building, 1.8 m wide, was erected about 10 years later.

Canada owes its name to a Frenchman.
Canada owes its name to the French navigator Jacques Cartier (1491-1557), the first European to explore the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the surrounding lands.
In 1534, he left Saint-Malo, where he was born, landed in Gaspé, a city located in the very east of Canada, and took possession of it in the name of the King of France, François 1er.

Friend of the planet.
Aware that the smallest impact that we can have can be useful to the planet, a few obvious reflexes imposed themselves on me.
We turn off all devices that are not in use every lunchtime and evening: computers, printers, payment terminal, parcel terminal.
Standby being energy-intensive, we turn them off and only turn them back on when the store is open.
Everything is off as soon as we leave the store, including the sign and all the lights in the store!
These are small daily efforts that add to the reuse of our order boxes for orders made on the store's website or to create various decorations and displays.
All printing errors are used to make draft sheets.
We use reusable cartridges for the store's printers as well as recycled and recyclable paper.
Our gift wrap is kraft and therefore easily recyclable for reuse.
These are just small efforts, but they are so important for the planet and for us.
