Hello everyone !
Today we are going to talk about Cartagena!
Intrepid explorers, from 2 to 5 players and from 8 years old for 30 to 45 minutes, progress on your path without getting lost along the way!
Cartagena: Escape Diaries is based on the classic game Cartagena and offers several ways to play.
Each player has a group of six pirate animals, and you want to be the first to escape all six through the twisting underground passage that connects the fortress to the port, where a sloop awaits.
To move a pirate, you must play a card from your hand. Each card has one of six symbols on it, and when you play a card, you advance one of your pirates to the next matching symbol in the tunnel, jumping over matching symbols where another pirate already is.
However, the only way to get more cards is to move backwards; more precisely, you move one of your pirates backwards to the first square containing one or two pirates, then drawing one or two cards. Each turn, you perform 1-3 actions, whether forward, backward, or both.
When you move a pirate to the end of the track, he jumps onto the sloop where he must wait for the other pirates in his crew.
However, with each step towards victory, you have fewer and fewer pirates to move each turn, which can lock you into actions you don't want, so be sure to plan ahead and not leave yourself empty-handed!
Good day and good game ;)
