Hello everyone!

Twelve Lines Game

Twelve Lines Game (backgammon). Roll the dice, determine the placement, and place the pieces. (Persian game). Cylindrical piece in the shape of dogs' and lions' heads. The flat, round pieces are placed on a grid with scores based on placement.

The Romans used honeycomb-shaped boards. The boards are the ancient game mats. We roll the dice and then try to place the checkers to take positions and capture the enemy pieces. By rolling the dice, we surround our opponent's pieces by giving us placement options.

Each player has 15 pieces, each of a color. The Greeks used 3 dice and the Romans only 2. The checkers had to travel the 24 squares of the game mat and exit. We tried to make successive paths to score as many points as possible by blocking our opponent. The holes were worth a certain number of points. Square 1 was the white square and square 24 was the black square. You had to follow a path called a route, one from 1 to 12, the other from 13 to 24. The one going down was the one for the white pieces and the one going up was the one for the black pieces. (Ancestor of backgammon).

Have a good day and good game ;)
