Hello everyone!
Welcome to a new opus of the "Offs du JJV"!
"Looking for the best in others brings out the best in you."
I particularly appreciate this part of my job with the animations where I can encourage you to discover your favorite games and help you gain self-confidence.
I have had the pleasure of seeing beginner players find a new passion in games and open up to others thanks to them. I have seen many friendships created thanks to my animations and I can tell you that I am very proud of it.
When I see these children in difficulty succeed in expressing their emotions through the game times that I share with them, I am proud of them and delighted to have found a way to help them express themselves more easily.
The progress of our elders during game times has been and still is a driving force of motivation for me. Seeing them smile, exchange a complicity between them and with me, enriches me humanly.
I personally do not understand these people who hurt or belittle, because they only reflect their discomfort on the people they seek to hurt, but always hurt themselves more…
It is so sad that they do not appreciate themselves when I am sure that they have beautiful things to offer humanly to others. But it is certain that we cannot love others as long as we are at war with ourselves and do not love ourselves.
Even when I suffered the most in my life, I would have found it unfair to want to attack others when they were in no way responsible for my suffering. That is why I worked and continue to work on my traumas so as not to inflict them on other people who are not responsible for it without wanting to.
Because if we want things to change for us, we can't act the same way and expect different results... Suffering is no fun, healing is even less so, but as soon as we are on the path to ourselves, we discover magnificent parts of ourselves that are just waiting to be expressed.
I assure you that we can start with a bad hand in life, but the game is worth the candle and that when we play our game, healing guides us towards new horizons.
Even if my sky has been and sometimes still is cloudy, I hold the helm so that my ship continues to bring me moments of sharing and complicity with you!

Using abilities at the end of each round to cleverly create connections, players are rewarded for how they store memory fragments while working toward completing “core memories”, which give repeated benefits each round.
Through their journey, players store important moments in their memory bank -- gaining new abilities and new opportunities to score -- all while working to collect fragments and moments that match what they aspire to be.

I chose not only to offer games that everyone knows, but also those offered by independent publishers. They often offer interesting games that are less known, because they have less visibility than games from major distributors.
In addition to that, I have always wanted to develop game animations to spread the gaming world on my modest scale of a store. When I opened the store, nothing was offered in Vaison and its surroundings.
Even if some players in the gaming world do not always go in the direction of gaming pleasure but rather the lure of gain, I am confident about the evolution of the gaming world around here.
We meet many people who will believe in your project as long as it does not exceed the expectations and limits that they have set for themselves.
Grass never grows on the road where everyone passes and I am not afraid to get out of my comfort zone to move towards projects that are always more stimulating than the others!
All these people who would think to impose limits on me that are ultimately only theirs only motivate me even more and strengthen me to make the store progress! So thank you to them. ^^

2 words game Dunes Arrakis Dawn of Fremen
Hello everyone !
And today we’re gonna talk about Dune Arrakis !
Take control of the sietches, from 2 to 4 players aged 14 and more during 60 to 90 minutes, to win the village’s dominance !
Arrakis Dawn of the Fremen takes place more than a hundred years before the events recounted in F. Herbert's first novel and the arrival of the Atreides on the planet. Players embody Fremen tribes who must learn to adapt to this inhospitable land. Players will have to make choices, collaborate, fight, negotiate to survive and build the first troglodyte sietches (Fremen villages).
To win the game, a player must be the first to control 3 sietches at the end of an action phase (or 5 if he has allied himself with another player). At any time, by decision of the council (all the players), a player can be declared the winner if his opponents unanimously recognize that they will no longer be able to win the game. A way to allow players to end a game at any time where a player has irremediably taken the upper hand. Conversely, players can also decide to modify the number of sietchs to control if they want a longer game.
The game takes place on a large board representing the Arrakis desert, divided into territories. Each player takes command of a tribe. Randomly, players designate a 1st player. In the opposite direction of the turn, they start by placing rock barriers between the territories, at each player's choice, then 12 production sites (water, food, spice and worm tooth) at random on the board without looking at them. Then, the 12 sites are revealed: each site will produce the resource indicated each turn which will be recovered by the player who controls the territory. Players finish the setup, in the opposite direction of the turn, by deploying a warrior on a territory, until all the territories are controlled by a player. Finally, each player places a worm in a territory that he controls.
Players play in phases. The development phase where players can spend resources to obtain a distillate, a krys or build a sietch. The production phase where players' territories develop resources depending on the full moon, twin moons or crescent face.
The trade phase where players roll the Arrakis die. On a storm face, the phase is not resolved; on a vote face, it is the players who decide; on a 1st player face, it is the 1st player who decides; on all other faces, the phase is resolved. If the phase is resolved, successively, players can propose an exchange (resources and/or cards) to another player. The exchanged resources must be placed in a controlled territory.
The expedition phase where players can move one or more resource tokens from one territory to an adjacent territory. If the player has a distillate, a worm or other elements granting a movement bonus on his territory, he can move his tokens over longer distances! He can very well deposit tokens during movement and recover others, within the limit of his total movement value.
This phase is essential to cleverly group his resources. The possibilities are numerous by recovering/depositing tokens during his movement!
The action phase where the players will successively resolve two actions among search or attack and dispatch or attack.
To Search, the player draws a Search card and obtains the indicated bonus: resource, development object or new capacity.
If he wishes to attack, he designates his target. The defender calculates his defense value equal to the sum of his defense present on the territory.
If the defense value is higher than the attack value, the latter fails and the player must target another territory or perform another action. On the other hand, if he wins the fight, the attacker takes control of the territory with the tokens present (resources, sietch, distill, ...) and gains an additional water resource.
The council phase where players unanimously decide to modify victories or immediately declare a winner.
At any time, two players can decide to officially ally, with the approval of the other players. In this case, to win the game, they must control 5 sietches and can exchange territories or cross alliance territories. An alliance can be broken by unanimous decision of the council. Players can even decide at the beginning of the game to play in alliance (2 vs 2).
The game ends by decision of the council, or as soon as a player controls 3 sietches or an alliance 5.

Welcome to a new opus of the "Offs du JJV"!

We can't always succeed in achieving what we want and sometimes we are disappointed, because what we held dear did not work. But we focus on what did not happen to try to see what we can improve to always progress.
And sometimes it is painful to cling to projects that do not work and then we must let go so as not to remain stuck in this failure. There is nothing wrong with failing, it is also what ends up making us move forward or think of other ways of doing things.
People who tell you that they do not suffer from their failures are probably unfortunately in denial. Failure always triggers suffering in anyone in the first place.
It is what we do with this failure that is important. The first sessions I offered at La Sereno for example were quite difficult for me. I had never hosted with this audience alone before, but only intergenerational events where families were present.
The main difficulty I encountered was the categorical refusal to play games that were too colorful and that looked like children's games. Because yes, many board game designs now are much more attractive than the gray, white and black designs that predominated in the 80s during the rise of board games.
So, it took me at least two or three sessions to convince them that games are not just boxes, but above all interesting and entertaining content.
And then in the end, we ended up playing with more classic games at the beginning, then new ones from time to time and finally now they are happy to discover new games.
It goes to show that with my new approach, they were more likely to want to discover the hidden potential at the heart of board games.

Warriors it’s up to you, from 2 to 4 players aged 12 and more for 45 minutes, to save Atlantis.
The prophecy of Atlantis is coming true, the cataclysm is coming! You have been sent in search of a new homeland. Explore the island, exploit its resources and rid it of the monsters that infest it to prepare for the great exile!
Build temples, forge Orichalcum medallions and attract the attention of the titans to be the first to obtain 5 victory points and win the game!
You will have to explore the island, produce resources, develop your base camp and confront the creatures that populate the island.
On Atlantis, thunder rumbles, the ground trembles and entire sections of land disappear under the waves! The Oracles are unequivocal: the prophecy of the ancients is coming true and the entire island is going to be swallowed up.
Faced with the imminent cataclysm, the king has sent his explorers in search of a new land that can welcome the Atlantean people. The survival of your entire civilization depends on it! You are leading an expedition.
You must be the first to find a welcoming land for your people!
Orichalcum is a race... against your opponents. The winner will be the one who is the first to accumulate 5 victory points above their board AND have eliminated all the Creatures on their island!
There are three ways to win victory points: attract the attention of the Titans, build Temples and forge the precious medallions of Orichalcum, this legendary ore whose secret the Atlanteans hold.
You begin each of your turns by selecting an Action card from those available in the center of the table. This choice has two consequences: it determines the Terrain tile that you will place on your island and the action that you can perform during this turn.
The 4 actions of the game will be valuable to be declared the winner. You will be able to Capture the Creatures populating your island. Recruiting Hoplites will be essential to fight but also useful to have more choices when selecting your Action card.
Building will earn you victory points by forging Orichalcum medallions or erecting Temples. And the Buildings you build will give you the abilities to develop your civilization.
Finally Producing Orichalcum will be essential if you plan to forge the precious Orichalcum medallions to win!

One of the greatest Viking warriors was… a woman
DNA analysis of bones found in a tomb rich in warrior symbols is pushing historians to reconsider the role of women among the Vikings.
Next to her, a sword, an axe, a spear, arrows, a knife, two shields, as well as a sacrificed mare and stallion! The tomb of a great warrior, an expert in military strategy as indicated by the presence of pawns and a game board.

We always have a choice about our actions, no matter what happens to us in life. When faced with events, we can always choose to react negatively and let ourselves be invaded by negativity until it eats away at us. We can also choose to seize it to understand what it weakens in us to become stronger thanks to it.
When we start with a tumultuous story, we can blame the whole world, and believe me I'm not talking in a vacuum... We have all experienced difficult times that have left their mark on us. The difference is knowing what we do with them. Do we let them make us become people who will hurt in return, or do we seize the chance to not become like the people who hurt us?
The choice is always ours and we are the only ones responsible for the people we become and what we make other people suffer afterwards… No, a difficult past does not justify hurting other people…
I have suffered violence, I suffer mockery and mockery on a daily basis, but you will not see me mocking or hurting in return. Simply because I know what it feels like to have suffered and I prefer to offer positivity rather than continue the vicious circle of violence no matter what form it takes!

Be smart enough, from 1 to 4 players aged 10 and more for 30 to 45 minutes, to escape.
Experience Thorgal's adventure! Players embody Thorgal and his companions. Together, they leave the Viking country and cross the great ocean to reach the country of Qâ, a continent at war. There, they face the troops of Ogotaï, a demigod who wants to declare war on all of humanity...
Each turn takes place in several phases: the heroes' fitness, the Hero's Turn (each in turn) then the Ogotaï phase.
A Hero's turn is divided into 3 successive phases: A. Destiny Phase B. Chaams Phase C. Action Phase.
The game ends as soon as a Hero reaches the Laboratory at the end of the Location card track and spends 6 identical Skill cards of his choice to defeat Ogotaï. He must do this before Ogotaï wins the game.
Unfortunately, the latter wins the game if he reaches the top of the pyramid, if Chaam cards are already placed on each discovered location card, or if there are no more cards in the Chaam draw pile when one must be drawn.

The Silent Hero: Nicholas Winton and His Unsung Acts of Bravery
In 1938, Nicholas Winton was a well-to-do 29-year-old Briton. However, in the months before World War II broke out in September 1939, he became a hero, saving hundreds of young lives from the clutches of death. In the chaos of the war preparations, he secretly helped 669 Czech children escape Nazi concentration camps.
He organized eight trains to transport these children to Britain and even used his savings to find new homes for them. His only wish was to ensure that these children survived. Winton’s efforts illuminated humanity during one of its darkest times.
Despite the praise, Nicholas Winton remained humble, saying, “To do good is not to make it known. I did not deliberately keep it a secret, but I did not speak of it.” »

I'm certainly going to be crazy like Eugène Ionesco announced, because I'm going to talk about something that goes against my time...
It seems that sometimes hurting people has become fashionable... I wasn't born at a time when bullying was commonplace. I was born at a time when teachers were respected and we were punished by our parents when that wasn't the case.
I was born at a time when bullies were punished by teachers and their own parents... No, bullying, no matter our age, is not a norm!
We see so many cases of bullying or cases of teenage suicide that it seems like it's becoming a "norm". When is it normal to be happy about someone killing themselves?
In my work with children in difficulty, I cannot imagine not intervening if a child is being bullied by another child…
If we let things happen, how can we pretend to be surprised and say we don’t understand why bullying is thriving? It’s not just bickering or an unfunny joke…
If we find it funny to laugh at someone knowing that it will hurt them, then it’s not funny. Hurting others is NOT funny. Can you imagine someone doing the same thing to you or to your loved ones? I don’t think it always makes you laugh as much…
I experience belittling and mockery about myself and through the store by adults (sometimes even older ones) who seem to find it enjoyable.
Fortunately for me, I have been strong and aware of my own value for a few years now and I know that their value judgments are only projections of the discomfort they feel in their own life… But imagine a child or teenager who is already questioning himself.
Everyone thinks as they want, and fortunately, but do not think that bullying will help you overcome the discomfort that is in you. I wish with all my heart that you find peace within yourself, it is so pleasant! Try it, you will see ;)

And today we’re gonna talk about Revelio !
It’s up to you to investigate, from 3 to 6 players 14 old and more for 20 minutes, to have no whit of doubt.
Doubt is everywhere! You have always loved investigating various incidents. So, when you heard about a circle of amateur private detectives, your blood boiled. Only, you must first pass a test: sitting at a table with the other candidates, you must succeed in identifying their profession, and the secret they hide.
In Revelio, players will embody a character from a specific universe: medieval-fantasy, Victorian or contemporary, exercising a specific activity and keeping a very particular secret.
In each of the 5 rounds, the players will all answer the same question as their character would, revealing a few clues about their personality, so that the others end up discovering who they are.
But not all of them, otherwise, the player does not score any points. And he himself must find the identity of the others, profession and secret, to add points that will allow him to win!

I have this ambition, perhaps a little naive, to aspire to bring you closer and make you have a good time thanks to board games and the complicity they bring.
So far, I haven't done too badly, because I am present in different places to offer you games that are as classic as they are original and try to contribute in my small way to the development of the gaming world!
I love being with you and seeing you enjoy the moments around the games and chatting with you around different types of games. These moments are as unique for me as they are for you and I am always very happy to see you again at each of our game times or at the store.
And then continuing to be resilient in the face of unpleasant people is also part of my role as a local store and parcel relay. Always smiling and laughing with nice people is an integral part of why I created the store.
I enjoy making people smile and talk to nice people and learn to tolerate those who are less so. When I can make you smile again or make you laugh, part of my mission is already fulfilled. ;)
I hope to be a person who encourages you to be yourself through games and our discussions and help reassure you of your importance to me. I gladly accept to be a playful guide in our moments of exchange and complicity.
I also loved going back to see my grandmother in my home region and letting go of my shell to be pampered in turn. She always made me feel like a child, full of joy and hope.
She is no longer here now, but I aspire to continue to bring you smiles, joy and the self-confidence that you too deserve. ;)

Work with your fellow conservationists, from 1 to 5 players from 10 and more and 75 minutes, to save tigers and sea otters from extinction.
The march of humankind’s progress threatens the survival of many species. It's up to you and your team to save them!
Influence the UN to save the animals and stop environmental destruction. If four UN ambassadors vote yes on the resolution then the players win. But until the vote takes place, players need to keep the destruction at bay, and keep the animals alive!
Each turn players will roll the dice they can allocate to action cards. After actions are taken, mating pairs will have a chance to procreate, and destruction tiles will enter the board, possibly killing already scarce animals.
Play as the Zoologist, Philanthropist, TV Wildlife Host, Lobbyist, or Environmental Lawyer, each with a special ability.
Time is short. Can the animals be saved while also influencing the Ambassadors' votes? Or will threatened animals be lost forever?
Extinction is a cooperative strategy and board game for 1 to 5 players. Take on the role of conservationists and work together to save endangered animal species, such as tigers and sea otters. Face complex challenges, influence the UN and protect biodiversity!

Welcome to a new opus of the "Offs du JJV"!
"A hero is a man who accomplishes with dedication and determination, courage and competence, the tasks that his time imposes on everyone."
I am always very happy to stay up to date with what is happening in the world of board games to be able to advise you on the game that suits you or your loved ones. It is obvious that with the impressive number of game releases per year, even we cannot succeed in following everything, even if we try our best.
On a daily basis, given the current context, you always have to be innovative to succeed in standing out from the crowd and you always offer things that suit you. To be able to always offer you what is most classic to most surprising in the gaming world. I am always very happy to introduce you to games in store or during external events. These moments of complicity on a daily basis allow me to evolve as a store manager, but also as a person.
Not to mention the "competition" (you know that this term always makes me laugh, because I only seek to be better than I was and not someone else :) ). Who by (I suppose) principle of opposition, allows themselves to belittle your store, report your content, have you insulted in the street by their friends when you walk alone, and so on, because it's so funny it seems...^^
I'm far too focused on the store and its constant evolution that I don't have time to pick a fight with anyone... And even if I had the time, what's the point? Not sure that telling someone off is all that fun, because those who do that seem more and more bitter each time. And then, we are all human beings with our qualities and our faults, but that does not make us better or worse than anyone else...
Too bad that these people only have that, because they must be damn sad... I only wish them to find the happiness that will soothe them if one day they manage to realize that the greatest cause of their unhappiness is themselves... As for me, since I am rather resilient, I will always manage to make meanness and trials a springboard towards new successes and new developments in my life. Staying in line with my principles and my values is my daily goal.

Today we’re going to talk about Isle of cats Explore and Draw!
Boats afloat, from 1 tp 6 players from 10 and more for 30 to 45 minutes, to place and save the cats!
The Isle of Cats Explore & Draw features gameplay like The Isle of Cats, but with players now choosing a set of cards each round instead of drafting, and then drawing their discoveries onto their boat.
Explore & Draw is a competitive, polyomino cat-placement board game for 1-6 players that is ideal for a quick break or taking to a friend’s house.
In the game, you are citizens of Squalls End on a rescue mission to The Isle of Cats and must rescue as many cats as possible before the evil Lord Vesh arrives. Each cat is represented by a unique shape and belongs to a family, you must find a way to make them all fit on your boat while keeping families together.
You will also find treasures, Oshax (special cats), and ancient lessons which give you another personal way of scoring points.
Complete lessons, fill your boat, and keep cat families together to score points, and the player with the most points after seven rounds wins.

Apart from Joan of Arc, it is not easy to find an example of a woman who wore armor, as knightesses have been relegated to the dustbin of history. Some took part in the crusades, as chroniclers of the time recount.
In 1097, Florine of Burgundy, dressed in armor, set off for Jerusalem with her husband Sven. Together, they led 1,500 knights. Florine fought until her last breath when their convoy was attacked.
Another case is that of Marguerite de Beverley. In 1187, she arrived in Jerusalem and fought for two weeks: "Although a woman, I had the appearance of a warrior, I carried a weapon." Some even joined orders of chivalry.
In Catalonia, the Order of the Axe was founded in 1149 in honor of the women who took part in the defense of the city of Tortosa.
A century later, in Italy, the Order of the Glorious Saint Mary, reserved for noble women, was also created. Some women played the role of war leaders – most often because of the death or captivity of their husbands.

When you're passionate about what you do, you always end up reaping the fruits of the work you've sown. When you're honest with people and offer products and services that suit them, you can only win.
Winning fun moments shared between my players with the fun nuggets found in the store, or in game animations when we play together. Winning smiles, laughter, moments of complicity, passionate conversations, etc.
No matter what happens, I know deep down that I'm always a winner, because I'll always have something to share with you. ;) Good or bad, each experience in the store makes me progress as a human being and I'm very grateful to you.
These positive moments that we share remain for me my daily victory within the store. Every initiative in the direction of the gaming world in Vaison and its surroundings is a victory for the recognition of the world of board games.
Sometimes still elitist, I strive on my small scale in Vaison to offer you something other than only games from big publishers who will not see the difference if you buy their games or not. Small publishers do see it...
These small publishers and creators of talents less known because less distributed due to lack of advertising as a game from a big publisher would be.
These small publishers who end up being discovered through hard work and hard work by big distributors and can finally earn something from their work and talent. All this sometimes thanks to small shops or small distributors who believed in them from the beginning. And that is a very big victory!

With your fleet of longships, you are determined to make the most of the 4 essential goods.Also try to become the most powerful Jarl of the archipelago!
In Lofoten, you must load merchandise from the market into your longships, and bring them back to your clan. For each type of merchandise, a particular scoring will grant you an advantage over the opposing Jarl. No matter what the situation is, your goal is to earn more PP (Power Points) than the opposing Jarl in the final scoring, to become the most powerful Jarl in the archipelago!

Bayard, Du Guesclin, Godefroi de Bouillon… These armored vigilantes perform exploits to bring order to medieval society. Hear ye, hear ye! We present to you these supermen.
In the Middle Ages, superheroes are them, the knights. A lady is in distress? They rush to her rescue, like Bayard who saves a gentleman's wife from dishonor at the siege of Brescia, in Italy.
King Philip Augustus nearly loses his life on the battlefield? Immediately, Guillaume des Barres, an illustrious knight, draws his sword and saves him, in the middle of the Battle of Bouvines in 1214.
Superheroes, we tell you. A thousand years later, they continue to fascinate. There are countless films, books or video games devoted to them.
The values of honor and loyalty that they defend, like their warlike feats, partly explain the interest that they continue to arouse.

Welcome to a new opus of the "Offs du JJV"!
"A hero is someone who does what they can. Others don't do it."
How can we expect things to happen in our lives if we don't try to encourage them to do so at least a little bit. When I launched the store in June 2018, I knew full well that I wanted to get people playing in addition to offering reasonable prices in the store.
The game animations were a concept that didn't exist at all in Vaison and its surroundings at the time I launched them. It took a few weeks or even months for some organizations to contact me for permanent animations after having done preliminary tests.
Thanks again to all these organizations that have and continue to trust me to offer friendly game times adapted to each of them. Because no, nothing fell from the sky, I offered myself to different places to introduce the concept of game animations.
Through hard work, courage and determination, we talked about my game animations and I ended up having my services complete and always booked a year in advance outdoors.
Thank you to these structures that talked and continue to talk about what I offer and allow me to have partnerships, each more enriching than the last.
I now find myself hosting in Vaison and its surroundings, for my former employer in my hometown and even in other countries... I am very grateful to all of you for these opportunities that we are making a reality! I am always very happy to be able to offer you game animations that correspond to each of your play needs!

Today we’re going to talk about Varuna!
Embody a scientist on mission on Varuna, from 1 player aged 14 and more for 20 minutes, discover and study the aquatic dinosaurs from the second planet of Demeter !
It has the particularity of being 89% covered by oceans and populated by dinosaurs, the vast majority of which are aquatic. It is therefore aboard a state-of-the-art exploration submarine that you will discover the almost twin sister of Demeter 1.
A flip and write that takes place in the space universe of Ganymed and Demeter.
You will also be able to use and improve your submarine, make discoveries, progress in research, use a sonar to locate and better understand these underwater species.
A game of Demeter lasts 13 turns. Each turn, players perform 3 phases: reveal a card from each deck, choose a card( suffer any damage and trigger the action of the selected card) and resolve the bonus corresponding to the chosen card.
The game ends at the end of the 13th turn and players score Mission Points in several categories: species discovered entirely, use of sonar, diversity of species discovered, fish studied, scientific objectives, etc.
Add these categories, then subtract the damage suffered by your submarine. The player with the most Mission Points wins the game!
