Hello everyone !

Today we're going to talk about Versailles!

Novice or experienced architects, 2 to 5 players, ages 12 and up, 90 minutes of gameplay: place your workers to develop the palace!

During a game of Versailles, players take turns, starting with the first player and proceeding clockwise. On their turn, a player moves one or more workers around the board, then activates the new location to benefit from its effects. This continues until the end of the game.

During your turn, you must move at least one of your workers from one area to another on the game board. They must follow the arrows printed on the board. You can choose between a normal move and a double move, according to the rules below.

A normal move allows you to advance one of your workers along a movement arrow. A player cannot skip a location, move more than one worker, or move their worker in the opposite direction of the arrows.

You can make a double move instead of a normal move. To do this, you must flip an active double move tile to its inactive side. If you do not have an active tile, you cannot make a double move. During a double move, you can:

• Move two workers together from one zone to another, following the normal movement rules. Both workers must be in the same zone at the start of the turn and must move to the same zone.

• Move a single worker, skipping a zone, but following the other normal movement rules.

After moving one or more workers to a zone, you can activate it to benefit from its effects. This activation is always optional. You can move a worker to a zone even if you cannot or do not want to benefit from its activation.

When activating a zone, each worker can only be used for one purpose within that zone, whether it's to build a Palace tile (Construction Site), to take a tile (Architects' Guild), etc. For example, a player cannot use the same worker to build two different Palace tiles.

Each zone on the game board grants you one or more advantages. They depend on the number of workers of your color gathered in the area in question. Generally, the more workers you have, the greater the effects. You ignore workers belonging to other players in the active area.

The game ends when one of the following conditions is met:

• There are no free spaces left on the Construction Site grid.

• The King's pawn reaches the last space on its track.

• The Palace tile stack is empty, and there are only seven or fewer tiles left to form a new stack.

The game then ends immediately. No further actions are allowed by the active player, even if they still have the workers and resources needed to use the activated area.

Once the game is over, each player earns additional Victory Points to their total:

• 1 Victory Point for 3 Marble, 3 Wood, or 2 Gold.

• 1 Victory Point per Palace tile.

• 3 Victory Points per Decoration tile.

The winner is the player with the most Victory Points at the end. In case of a tie, all players share the victory.

Good day and good game ;)
