Hello everyone!

Pettie

Pettie, of Egyptian origin, resembles five-line checkers. The lines are numbered from 1 to 6 to go on each side of the field facing each other, and five pieces of your own color are placed on your side. You could reclaim your opponent's pieces by capturing them. All areas for capturing a piece must be surrounded by one of your pieces.

For Athenaeus's pettie, they used 108 palaces, 54 on each side. They lined up in two opposing lines and placed a coin called a Penelope. A space was left empty in the center of the players' play. The Penelope represented the goal, which had to be hit with a puck.

The first player to hit the Penelope replaced it with their puck. They then tried to hit the Penelope in its new position. If he touched it without hitting another palace, he was the winner and had great hopes of marrying the queen.

You had to remove the pucks from the game, aiming at them one by one without hitting the others until you hit Penelope.

Have a good day and enjoy the game ;)
