Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Monster Café!

It's up to you to leave your mark, for 4 to 8 players and from 6 years old for 20 minutes, to control the territory!

An adaptation of the classic game of musical chairs with new objectives. Based on the principle of musical chairs, Chazz invites you to play as cats battling to expand their territories.

The mechanics of musical chairs remain the same: players must sit around the table at a signal, but if there's a chair missing, one player will have to stand. To win the game, you must control two territories, meaning two seats, each with a set of three different cards.

Each player has a set of cards in their color, divided into three types: Spit, Scratch, or Rub. The leader of the round gives the signal to sit by shouting one of these three words. Players who manage to find their seats can then play one of their cards with the word chosen by the leader. If a card of that type is already there, the player doesn't play a card.

If a player no longer has a card of that type in their hand, they can move one previously placed in that spot. As soon as a player plays a complete set of 3 cards, they claim the location.

When they claim 2 locations, they win the game. But be careful! If another player plays a set on top of yours before you've played your second set, they'll steal your spot.

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "JJV Offs"!

“Carnival is a time for music and dance, where people can come together and celebrate.”

What I take away from carnival is that it brings people together and puts a smile back on their faces. We share a wonderful time together.

For many years, I was a choreographer and dancer in a dance group that performed at various events, including carnivals.

Seeing people happy with our performances and smiling back was simply magical. Sharing that performance and those moments with people was just incredible.

That's what I love about board games too. We can get together for a great time playing games and often even celebrate special occasions like birthdays, Valentine's Day, Christmas, etc.

I really enjoy games, just like with dancing before, bringing this energy that allows me to offer you choices that reflect your personality and are as unique as you are.

I also love setting the mood when we play different themed games. Because it brings the games to life and makes them even more appealing.

I also really enjoy the anecdotes and conversations we share in the store and during game time. I love introducing you to new things as much as discovering them through you. I cherish these experiences throughout my life.

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Monster Café!

Monster experts, for 2 to 5 players and ages 8 and up, for 15 minutes, use their powers to win coffee tokens!

The Monster Café has opened its doors in a secluded, secret location! This unique establishment, forbidden to humans, is said to serve the best coffees in the forest, such as the

Grungy Divinato, the Rexpresso, the Vanilla Apocalypso, and the Bliblopino! A game of Monster Café is played over 2 rounds.

Players send Monsters to the center of the table in the Monster Café so they can collect Coffee tokens. The player with the most Coffee tokens at the end of the 2 rounds wins.

Players take turns, starting with the first player. During their turn, a player must perform the following actions:

1 - They choose a Monster card from a Front Row that has more than 3 Monster cards.

From their own or another player's.

2 - They move this Monster card to the center of the table.

3 - They activate the power of this Monster card.

Then it's the turn of the player to their left. A player can never have fewer than 3 Monster cards in their Front Row and fewer than 3 Monster cards in their Back Row. Some Monster families don't trigger powers. Some monsters use tokens.

Sometimes (rarely), you might run out... and that's normal: they aren't unlimited. So be careful, if a power (and its corresponding token) interests you, don't let your chance slip away. There might very well be two different tokens on a Monster in a Front Row... You might be forced to play a Monster (end of a round, for example) and its power might not be usable. This is exceptional, but it happens, and it's a clever move by your opponent. In such a case, don't use the power!

A round ends as soon as each player has only 3 Monster cards left in their Front Row. It's time to distribute the Coffee tokens. Each player reveals the Monster cards in their Back Row (keeping them separate from their other cards... way at the back).

Some powers reveal Monster cards from players' Back Rows during the round. For each Monster Family in the center of the table, check which player has the most Monster cards of that Family in their hand (Front Row + Back Row).

Be careful, Monster cards in the Back Rows count double! That player earns as many Coffee tokens as there are Monster cards of that Family in the center of the table. In case of a tie, no one earns a Coffee token for that Monster Family. Once all the Coffee tokens have been distributed, a new round begins.

The game ends at the end of the second round. The player with the most Coffee tokens wins! In case of a tie, the player who earned the most Coffee tokens in the last round wins (excluding Cookie and Mummy tokens).

And if the tie persists, the players share the victory...

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "JJV Offs"!

“I love Carnival; it’s a time of celebration and joy that makes me smile.”

Even as a child, I always loved going to my neighborhood carnival because it was so colorful and everyone seemed so happy. The performers were always smiling and enthusiastic when they saw how receptive the audience was.

So, against my family’s advice, who thought it was “completely stupid,” I created my own costumes an

d joined the parade every year.

I was only 8 years old, but I was welcomed with open arms into the carnival parade. I enjoyed it so much that I convinced my school friends to come and dance a little dance with me.

I did this with them for three years in a row until I was locked in my room so I wouldn’t participate in “this nonsense.” I did manage to teach my friends from middle school a dance routine, and they went to dance without me, then in front of my balcony so I could see them.

I danced with them on the balcony, and we had a great time, until I found myself locked in my room again for a while and got slapped for my "disobedience," and then slapped a second time because I was crying and "it made me look even uglier than I already did."

Let's just say that expressing emotions, and especially being happy, wasn't one of the options available to me in my family, but whatever... I grew up like that, and I'm happy for those who had a happy childhood; they deserved it.

I was always made to understand that my happiness wasn't a priority and that I was insignificant. That's why I've always been so keen to see people smile afterward. Never, through their words or their various acts of violence, did they manage to extinguish that small light, that glimmer of hope and joy within me… So when I see people using their past pain to hurt others, I simply wish them healing, just as I continue to heal. I assure you, hurting others doesn't bring happiness.

You can ask my mother, who apparently doesn't remember what she did to me… But I don't hold it against her anymore; she too had a traumatic past, even if that in no way excuses what she did to me for years… So ask my father too, who, after I was featured in the newspaper during the holidays thanks to Marinette's wonderful article, said to my husband, "I don't understand why people like her." I built and rebuilt myself entirely on my own, and seeing people unhappy doesn't please me like it does some others; it pains me… Even when it comes to people I don't like because they've hurt me or are hurting me…

So, even though, like at Carnival, I've seen all sorts of things, I'm committed to motivating you every day, and seeing you smile makes me incredibly happy. So, if through games I can be the catalyst for good times and smiles, laughter, even bursts of laughter, then I will continue to do so with joy. ;)

Today we're going to talk about Remember our trip!

Today we're talking about Valentine's Day! Whether you're a seasoned romantic or a complete beginner, for 3 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, for 15 minutes, remember your journey!

There's love in the air... or not! Choose a player and offer them a rose. Will they keep it?

Create your bouquets of roses to score points. But it's not so simple; one too many thorny roses and your bouquet is ruined! Sometimes, it's wiser to say "No."

Your goal is to be the first player to reach a seduction score of 5 or more. To do this, you'll need to offer roses to your opponents wisely.

Shuffle the Rose cards and deal 4 to each player. Then place the remaining cards face down in the center of the table.

On your turn, you must initiate a one-on-one with another player. You can then count your bouquet later if you wish.

To initiate a one-on-one with another player (a mandatory action), offer a Rose card from your hand to a player of your choice by sliding it face down onto the table.

For this round, the two players are in a one-on-one situation. The player receiving the offer has two options. They can either accept your rose, adding it face up to their bouquet, or refuse it, in which case you must add it face up to your bouquet.

The bouquet receiving the rose is then evaluated. If the total number of thorns on all your face-up cards is 5 or more, then the bouquet is ruined, and all the cards in the bouquet are discarded face up next to the Rose card pile.

The player whose turn it is draws a card from the deck to return to four cards in hand. You can then choose to count your bouquet (optional action), provided your bouquet contains at least four roses. You can then discard your entire bouquet (placed in front of you) to increase your seduction score.

Take one or more Heart tokens depending on the total value of your roses. The game ends when one of the following three events occurs: if a player has reached a seduction score of five or more (they win the game immediately), if a player has completed a bouquet of ten or more roses (they also win the game immediately), or if the Rose card deck is empty, the game continues until a full round is completed, then the game ends. The player with the highest seduction score wins the game. In case of a tie, the tied players share the victory. It's your turn, and watch out for the thorns!

Hello everyone!

Welcome to a new opus of "JJV Offs"!

"Carnival is a time of joy and freedom, where people can forget their worries and let loose."

When you attend a carnival, you enjoy the show put on by the artists and performers. It's always a time for sharing and connecting, full of smiles and laughter.

Often vibrant and colorful, carnival allows you to marvel at the floats, costumes, and decorations, each one as beautiful as the next.

It makes you feel a bit like a child again and allows you to escape your daily routine. That's what I try to offer you in the store: original games that can provide a unique gaming experience, unlike any other game.

And also through events, where I love sharing good times with you and seeing you laugh and smile. When I see that games can bring you moments out of the everyday, I'm very happy.

Some of my players, both young and old, tell me they can think about something other than their problems thanks to the games and the time I spend with them. It allows them to enjoy a welcome, playful break, which even I find delightful.

I'm always happy to go to the store, but even more so when I'm leading an event! Because I love sharing different game mechanics and moments together that we can't relive and that will last a lifetime.

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Remember our trip!

Intrepid travelers, for 2 to 4 players and ages 10 and up, for 30 minutes, remember your journey!

Remember Our Trip is a board game in which players recreate a map of a city they visited together. After returning to your own country, you and the other players have gotten together to try to recall the map of either Kyoto or Singapore (depending on the game board you choose). You need to piece together the scenery of the map using fragments of your memories, with you earning bonus points if your memory matches that of the main board and other players.

In the game, each player has an individual image board, while everyone shares a common map board. Each of the twelve rounds of the game starts with the revelation of a "memory card", which shows one of six patterns that players can build on their image board with image tokens that they draft. Over multiple rounds, you'll compile image tokens next to one another, and if you have the right tokens in the right shape, you suddenly "remember" the building that matches the shape and image, placing that building on the shared common map and scoring points for it. You can additionally score points for completing buildings with image tokens that match buildings remembered by others, i.e., that they placed on the common board earlier. You've now remembered that building, too!

Each player also has objective cards and photo memory cards, and you can score points for satisfying them. If you can't fit all of your image fragments into play, you lose points for scattered thoughts. For more difficult play, you can use the 7x6 area on the Kyoto or Singapore game board instead of the regular 7x7 area.

Carnival is a time when many people come to enjoy a moment of freedom. We let ourselves be carried away by the dancing and musical groups and enjoy what they offer: joy and good cheer.

This is also what I try to bring you through my vision of the world of games. An environment full of positive energy and sharing… Because games are, above all, about fun and interaction through a shared activity.

And I also try to make you smile and laugh during the games, because I know that for most of you who come to my events, you see them as unique moments of sharing.

So, I have the serious mission of ensuring you enjoy an original and personalized experience during each different game session. In my shop, in Vaison and the surrounding area, or elsewhere, I like to adapt to your current desires. Guiding you through the most unique and original aspects of the gaming world is my way of sharing my passion for board games with you. I love it when people suggest events here and there that push me out of my comfort zone.

That's always where we grow and learn the most, because, like at a carnival, you don't expect everything that might happen, but you do have a shared framework. Besides, the world of games is a universe rich in choices, offering plenty of opportunities to have fun playing together…

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Flowers Mandala!

Get your clues ready, for 4 to 8 players and from age 12 for 15 minutes, to honor the memory of those who have passed away!

It's November 2nd, and it's the Day of the Dead (Fiesta de los Muertos). On this sacred day, the dead return! And the dead fear only one thing: being forgotten.

Indeed, as long as they are remembered, a dead person is never truly dead, but if they are forgotten… then they wander for eternity! Will you be able to remember all the deceased present tonight? Good luck, or rather, “Buena suerte!”

Fiesta de los Muertos is a cooperative game in which players must find each deceased character present during the game. Each player draws a Character card and looks at it secretly. They then place it face down in front of them.

Then, each player opens their Skull board, secretly writes the name of their Character inside, and closes their Skull board. From this point on, until the "Appease the Dead" phase, the Skull slate must never be opened again!

If a player doesn't know the Character they drew, they can discard it and draw another. On the white space of the Skull's jaw, each player secretly writes one word (no more!) that reminds them of their Character.

When a player has written their word, they color in a Tooth at the bottom of their Skull. Then they pass their Skull to their neighbor on the left. For example, with the character "Hercules," you could write "strength" on your slate.

Each player takes the Skull they were given, reads the word written in the jaw, erases it, and writes another word in its place. This other word must remind them of the word they just erased. Again, when a player has written their word, they color in a Tooth at the bottom of the Skull.

Then they pass the Skull to their neighbor on the left. For example, the word "strength" written previously is erased and replaced with "energy." You will receive another Skull and do the same: erase a word, write another word, color a Tooth, and pass the Skull... Repeat this process until all four Teeth on each Skull have been colored (each player will have written four words). When a player has colored the fourth Tooth on a Skull, they place that Skull face down in the center of the table (so the last word they wrote is not yet visible).

It is forbidden to write a Character or Person name. It is also forbidden to write a word already present on the Character card (for the first word) or a word with the same root as the word you received (for subsequent words). You can only write one word, no more; however, compound words, joined by a hyphen, are allowed. Shuffle the Skulls face down and place each Skull face up underneath. Without looking at it, take each player's Character card and add face-down Character cards from the draw pile to it until you have 8 Characters. Shuffle the 8 Character cards, then place them face up below the Skulls.

Players must then try to find the Character that corresponds to the last word written on each Skull. When they think they have found a Character, they write the Character's name next to the corresponding Skull number on their Deduction board. The game then works by association of ideas, and also by trying to remember words that were erased during the round.

Open the first Skull, then compare the Character name inside with each player's answer. For each correct answer, check off a box on the frieze inside the Skull, starting with the box corresponding to the number of players, then continuing to the right.

If you haven't checked all the blank boxes from the starting box, leave the Skull open. It will take a little while to know if the dead person is at peace... If you manage to check all the white squares starting from the beginning, close the Skull. The dead person is at peace!

After carefully packing your product(s) and sealing your box at home, affix or tape your return label to your package, being careful not to cover the barcodes and QR codes for optimal delivery.

Choose the item(s) you want to return to Amazon. Select "Post Office - Print on site" and choose your Pick Up point. “I love Carnival; it’s a time of celebration and fun that makes me dream.”

When you go to Carnival, you let yourself be surprised by its various elements. You let yourself be carried away, opening yourself up to unexpected events.
That’s also what I try to do every day in the store and during events: surprise you and help you break out of your daily routine.
I really enjoy organizing events and themed evenings that allow me to showcase the wide variety of board games that the world of gaming has to offer. A Werewolf game with a medieval theme and atmosphere for 35 people? No problem! A special Valentine’s Day event? Absolutely! Leading events in another language is definitely doable; and what’s more, discovering games that aren’t always available in France? Absolutely!
Co-leading with wonderful colleagues? Of course! In France and elsewhere? Definitely! The world of games has allowed me to make wonderful connections, develop unique and genuine friendships, and create and help create bonds between players!

I love sharing moments around games with you, because they allow us to open up to each other and make our gaming sessions so vibrant!
So thank you for believing in my event planning project, and for some of you, for having believed in it since the beginning of the store or by joining me on this gaming adventure!

Today we're going to talk about Flowers Mandala!

Mandala enthusiasts, for 2 to 4 players and ages 10 and up, for 30 minutes, get the majority to win!

The Mandala, associated with ancient and sacred rituals, represents a symbolic map of the universe. Colored sand is spread on the ground, and the Mandala is then destroyed in a ceremony before being recreated.

Players take turns placing cards representing the colored sand. They thus form Mandalas around the three lotus flowers, in order to collect the Flower tiles located in the center of each flower.

Once all six colors are present in a Mandala, the two players who have placed the most cards in it win the Flower tiles. These tiles are worth points individually, but they are worth even more when combined with a tile of the same color.

Starting with the first player, turns proceed clockwise until the end of the game is triggered. On your turn, perform the following four steps: play cards from your hand, draw cards, check if you are collecting any tiles, and complete a Mandala.

Choose any number of cards of the same color from your hand and play them on a single Mandala. Place them on your side of the Mandala, aligned and overlapping, so that the total number of cards played is visible.

Check if the color you are playing is new to this Mandala: compare it to the Flower tiles and any face-up cards already played on this Mandala by any player, including yourself.

If the color is new, place your cards face up. Make sure all players can see the color of the cards. If the color is already present, show your cards to the other players, then place them face down.

Skip this step if, at the end of step 1, you have 8 or more cards remaining in your hand. If you played exactly 1 card (face up or face down), draw up to 4 new cards from the deck and add them to your hand, so that you have a maximum of 8 cards in hand. If you now have more cards in this Mandala (face up and face down) than any other player who has already placed at least one card face up, take the Collection marker and place it on your cards. If you are tied with another player for the most cards, you do not take their Collection marker.

If the Mandala now contains each of the 6 colors, including cards and Flower tiles, this Mandala is complete: you must destroy it. The player with the Collection marker chooses and takes one of the Flower tiles from the Mandala.

The player who has placed the second-highest number of cards, including at least one face up, takes the other Flower tile. Place your Flower tiles face up in front of you.

In case of a tie for the second-highest number of cards, the player who played the most face-up cards in the Mandala takes the tile. If the tie persists, or if there are no other face-up cards in the Mandala, the player with the Collection marker takes both Flower tiles.

Finally, draw one Dark Flower tile and one Light Flower tile to begin a new Mandala. Place them face up together in the center of the Mandala that was just destroyed.

The game ends at the end of the turn in which at least one player has created their third Flower. The game can also end in the rare event that there are no more Flower tiles left when starting a new Mandala.

At the end of the game, the player with the most points is declared the winner.

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Dodelido!

Colors or animals, for 2 to 6 players and from 8 years old for 15 minutes, observe the majorities and watch out for the Dodelido!

Dodelido is a fast-paced card game where speed and observation are key. Each turn tests players' reflexes as they must call out the correct characteristic from among the face-up cards.

In Dodelido, the goal is to be the first player to get rid of all their cards. Each player receives an equal number of cards, which they keep face down. Three discard piles are placed in the center of the table.

On their turn, a player reveals the top card of their pile and places it face up on one of the three discard piles, following a cyclical order (pile 1, pile 2, pile 3, then back to pile 1, etc.).

They must then immediately announce either an animal if there is a majority of visible species, either a color if one color dominates, either a "Dodelido!" if there is a perfect match between animal and color, or "Nothing!" if there is no match.

If a turtle is visible on the piles, the player must add an "Uh" for each turtle before announcing it (e.g., "Uh, Uh, Blue!"). When a crocodile is revealed, all players must slap the card as quickly as possible. The slowest player collects all the visible cards and begins the next turn.

Any incorrect call, omission of "Uh," or hesitation of more than 3 seconds is considered a mistake: the player takes all the face-up cards and begins the next round.

The first player to play all their cards is declared the winner.

Hello everyone!

Today we're going to talk about Pic Mix!

Speed required, for 2 to 6 players and from 6 years old for 10 to 20 minutes, to observe and put the objects back in the right way!

Each player has a set of 4 cards, each showing 16 objects. The "objective" card pile is placed in the center of the table.

On each turn, an "objective" card showing 3 or 4 of these objects is turned face up.

Players must then combine their cards to recreate the pattern in the center of the table, rotating and overlapping them as needed to reveal only the objects shown on the middle card.

The goal is to be the fastest to position your cards so that only the objects shown on the objective card are visible. The objects can be on the front or back of the card. Keep your cool to find the correct combination first. The player who recreates it the fastest wins the card. The player who collects 5 objective cards wins the game.

Who will create the most combinations and score the most points?
