JJV's Offs

Hello everyone!
Welcome to a new opus of the "Offs du JJV"!
"You have to play to become serious"
As I have worked in different organizations, I have seen my players evolve and progress towards more advanced ranges of games.
My expert players are always keen on more innovative and stimulating game mechanics that encourage them to be focused and always more serious.
In the order of good seriousness, where we like to rack our brains to know what will be the best catch and strategy to obtain it. Board games develop logic and reflection that allow us to choose the best solution to try to win.
And if we don't necessarily play to win, we always win by having enjoyed a moment of friendly reflection where even the other players sometimes guide us to find a solution.
We then all have the same rules and we start on an equal footing when we play the games. And then when you haven't always played, you discover that you can like one style of game more than another and that's completely normal.
As far as I'm concerned, it's puzzles and brain teasers that I like less while at the same time I love expert games where you have to rack your brains to capture positions, develop resources to win majorities or other more interesting resources...
The game allows seriousness, because it allows reflection in a reassuring framework of common bases with identical rules for all players. We therefore have benchmarks to develop more or less complicated strategies depending on the games.
And then the game also stimulates a reflection that we don't necessarily always use on a daily basis and takes us out of our routine by offering us bases that allow us to evolve at our own pace. The game is serious because we follow rules and we have a precise framework to move forward. But the game is also and above all moments of happy sharing.
Have a good day and good game ;)
