Today we're going to talk about Meeple Circus!
Agile acrobats, for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, for 45 minutes. Who will be the most balanced to wow the crowd?
In Meeple Circus, become the most dazzling circus by putting on sparkling acts! Let the show begin!
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the circus! You have only one goal: to entertain and win over your audience! Perform original acts with your troupe—acrobats, circus animals, and stars—to earn the applause of the crowd. But beware: the competition is fierce! In each act, skillfully assemble your meeples to perform required figures, which will allow you to achieve the highest score!
The game is played over three rounds, and during each round, players choose tiles that provide them with equipment for their performance (acrobats (meeples), horses, elephants, tigers, balloons, etc.).
During each of the three performance phases, players stack the meeples and other wooden objects they have collected to fulfill as many of the spectators' criteria as possible. The more objectives a player manages to satisfy, the more victory points they earn. These criteria will change between rounds, and new objectives will appear for subsequent performances, requiring players to plan ahead for the acrobats and accessories needed in case some spectators request them.
In addition to these criteria, some objectives remain constant throughout the game, depending on the acrobats' skill level. Novice acrobats (blue) score one point each if they touch the ground. Intermediate acrobats (yellow) score one point each if they do not touch the ground. The expert acrobats (red) earn points for their highest position during the performance.
During the final round, players must also choose a dare tile that will require them to perform a specific action (clap, sing, jump, etc.) during the construction of their performance.
An app is available for download for Meeple Circus, which allows you to listen to circus music while also acting as a timer.
