Denis de Rougemont, born September 8, 1906 in Couvet and died December 6, 1985 in Geneva, is a Swiss writer, philosopher and university professor.

Our Play with thought of the day comes to us from the great Victor Hugo.

Victor Hugo started 'Les Misérables' in 1845 under the title 'Les Misères'.

Then he “abandoned” them for fifteen years.

He resumed them in 1860, and the first part of the book appeared on April 3, 1862.

On May 15, publication of the second and third parts of the novel (immense popular success, the crowd gathered at 6 am in front of the bookstore gates).

On June 30 the last two parts appear.

Alexis Grüss is a circus artist who was trained at the age of seven by his father André and his uncle Alexis in the family circus.

During his career, he tried his hand at all the disciplines of the circus arts: trapeze artist, squire flyer, clown, musician.

Alexis Grüss Park is located in Piolenc. ;)
