No one really knows what started the war between the superpowers, but a single day was enough to end the world as we knew it. After governments collapsed, groups of leaderless survivors banded together in the ruins of once great cities.
The climate is brutal, resources are scarce, and mutant tribes roam the wastelands. The world desperately needs a hero to rally people and lead them out of the ruins.
Resurgence offers a unique blend of bag building, hidden worker placement, and resource management that creates a one-of-a-kind gaming experience. At the start of the game, each player selects a hero in charge of a small group of survivors and some supplies.
During each game turn, players must secretly plan where they will send their workers in order to complete various tasks and exert their influence, whether they are completing missions around the ruins of Moscow; gather fuel, food and spare parts; save the survivors; learn new skills; or build their base.
Resurgence offers different paths to winning the game. The different events and end-of-game directive cards offer a lot of replayability and variability from one game session to another.
