Greenville 1989 is a cooperative narrative game in which each player represents a character who has experienced or witnessed supernatural events.
They must describe these events to their teammates, who must then locate this character and save it.
This lead role changes with each turn, giving everyone the chance to be lost or found – and you want to be found, or the party is closing in on the city-engulfing void that threatens to consume you all.
Each round, a different player will be the Guide and will try to secretly match the card that best suits the story of each character in play.
Once the Guide has made his choice, the other players will have to find the card that has been associated with their character so that the latter progresses in his adventure and can arrive at the meeting point decided by the players at the start of the game. part.
If the association is wrong, the card is discarded and the player's character token advances one space on one of the 3 Passages to the Other World, which will result in the defeat of all players if one of them them reaches the last space of one of these Passages.
If the association is good, the player takes the card and places it in front of him: it is added to his adventure.
When all the players have managed to place 4 cards in front of them, the game is won!
