The little extra: memorize the locations of your Yokai's objects that were taken by the Tengu!
Work together to recover all the toys stolen by the mischievous Tengu! Travel the paths with the Yokai and explore the forest. However, each Japanese creature can only retrieve toys that match its own color.
You will need to rely on your memory and leave clues so everyone can locate the right toys. Together, you can overcome this challenge and recover all the treasures lost to the Tengu.
The mischievous Tengu has scattered and hidden the Yokai's toys throughout the forest. Players must cooperate to help the Yokai find them. The game is won once all the Yokai have each retrieved their 3 toys.
On your turn, draw a card to move one of the 3 Yokai across the board (randomly formed from 12 face-down Forest tiles). By following the paths, you can explore an unknown tile: if it contains a toy matching the color of the Yokai you moved, flip the tile over and claim the corresponding Toy token!
Otherwise, place the tile face-down again and mark it with a token indicating the type of toy you just saw. You and your teammates will then need to explore that tile again with the correct Yokai, relying on your memory (or a bit of deduction).
The game is won when all the Yokai have recovered their toys, or lost if you fail to do so before the draw pile runs out. Tengu offers 6 progressive difficulty levels, each introducing new rules and/or game elements.
