The little extra: combine your dice to activate your detectives and annoy the other players by leaving the rest to them!
Lord Waldemar invited Europe's most famous personalities to his magnificent home on the occasion of his 80th birthday. But as guests gather for the celebrations, cunning thieves roam the old mansion in search of valuable trinkets.
Those who skillfully use their detectives to surprise thieves will be richly rewarded.
On their turn, a player rolls the dice and can reroll all or part of the dice. He selects all the dice that show the same value and the others must make do with what is left. He then performs an action or passes and then we move on to the next person.
We can still play when it is not our turn because when the person who is called “active” does their main action with the chosen dice, the people who are called passive will also be able to do an action with the dice that have been left by the active person.
If there are any dice left! Because that’s the strong point of the game for me, this indirect interaction. Connoisseurs of the saga of “smarts” in the Roll&Write category, the concept will seem familiar to you. Sometimes, it will be possible to leave “passive” people with dice that will not be useful to them, or even no dice at all, and force them to pass!
It is possible to try to optimize to achieve the best score, because there is a combination of placements that ensure a maximum score that will never be higher.
The end of the game comes when five of our detectives illuminate either thieves or rooms in the house. We count the victory points and see who wins.
