In *Wild Kingdoms*, you play as the Lord of a great house, vying with rivals for control of the five kingdoms. Noble animals—represented by the cards in your hand—have pledged their allegiance to aid you in this quest.
Over the course of three ages, your noble ambassadors will travel to the various kingdoms, abiding by their laws to bolster your house's political clout. The house that extends its influence the furthest will be declared sovereign of the five kingdoms!
A family-friendly game featuring hand management and area majority mechanics, set against a beautiful theme that younger players love! The rules are quick to learn and explain, and setup takes mere seconds.
Throughout the game, you must skillfully manage your hand of four cards—taking into account active decrees and their associated constraints—to place creatures in the various territories. Success requires foresight: you need to claim as many territories as possible, but prioritize those that yield the most victory points.
Indeed, the victory point value of each territory varies by age, with these values determined randomly at the start of the game. The key is to target the right territories at the right moment.
An accessible card game focused on securing majorities. The card-placement mechanic is truly clever, elevating the game well beyond a simple game of chance. Ascending the throne of the Wild Kingdoms won't be easy, yet it remains a fun, stress-free experience!
With a focus on fun, simplicity, and ease of play, this quest is a welcome delight. With its very simple and accessible rules, *Les Royaumes Sauvages* offers gameplay that appeals to a wide audience, while also engaging more experienced players thanks to the many factors to consider on each turn.
An engaging family game that serves as a great introduction to slightly more strategic gaming for younger or casual players.
